Since you guys are curious, let me explain about the concept of this mv because I find the concept so cool and interesting! I'm not good at explaining stuff but I'll try my best to explain based on my own theory. Please keep in mind that this is solely based on my understanding >< So firstly, the concept of this music video is inspired by a Japanese movie, Battle Royale. If you're more familiar with The Hunger Games, i'd say these two movies have similar concept. Basically, Battle Royale is a movie about a group of students who got sent to a deserted island and they have to kill each other until the last man standing. Each students were given a collar around their neck and it is explosive if they break any rules. Some of the students were provided with random weapons to kill each other. At the end, only the last survivor can win the game and escape the island. So based on the music video, The Boyz were sent to a stranded building and they were given a collar (which is very identical with the one in the Battle Royale). Some of them held a random weapon like a bomb, bow and arrows, tape, pencil etc. They started to betray each other to be the last man standing. So they ended up killing each other. At the 2nd half of the mv, you can see the members started to cry as they realised they have to be an individualist in order to survive. In the end, the last survivor in this game is Eric (the red hair guy at the end). From the lyrics, The Boyz is trying to convey that each of them is a maverick. Maverick means a person that acts independently and thinks differently from others. Sort of an individualist? From my perspective, I'd say that they're trying to prove they are different from others and they have their own colours and identity. Also at the end of the mv, there's a sentence "protect yourself from what you want", i think it means that you have to be independent and don't rely too much on others so they won't betray you. That's basically how i understand at least. This is just my theory. Some other fans have been sharing a lot of different theories on twitter so in the end, it's actually based on your own interpretation. There's no official explanation anyway hahahah >< P.S. The guy who hits the highest note is Sangyeon. He's the oldest, leader, and main vocalist of the group. He's a 96 liner ^^ Also,, I recommend yall to watch Battle Royale cuz it was a great movie. I would give it a 7/10 cuz i can't watch gore >< but the storyline and plot twist were so good!

Fun facts: 1) this MV is actually inspired by Japanese movie Battle Royal. Tapi cun2 masa tu memang squid game tengah famous, so memang grabbed a lot of attention jugak lah lagu ni as many thoughts this fits well with the current hype netflix series. They even won on Inkigayo for the first time in 4 years with this song. 2) the survivor (Eric), won rock paper scissors against other members, that's why he was chosen to be the survivor
