Early turn or the century filmmakers from the early 1900's documented what was thought of at the time as being mundane when they filmed everyday average street life of New York City and San Francisco. Now those films are very cherished pieces of history that show a society that no longer exists and historians will always study. You're doing great work!

I love Tokyo streets. It's just much more cozy feeling than in America where everything is separated by large streets. I love the tight little areas with people just hanging out. Seems like so much fun.

You are capturing history. I think these footage will be so valuable in future. Can you imagine people 200-300 years from now watching these same digital video footage in 4k without any loss of quality? I don't think video quality will get significantly get higher. Thanks always again for these wonderful videos and sharing them with the world.

It's so crazy to think that every single person in this video has their own unique story. Like that are just out living their lives they have things going on that we have no idea about and all we see is a glimpse of their life as we pass them by in the street.
@jamskaterpete4 жыл бұрын
I always think this way. Every single person has been born, has their childhood stories and adventure stories. Sad and happy stories and it’s so easy for us to forget that. They all have struggles, dreams, goals and we simply just see them as background characters to our own main story of our lives. It’s crazy to think that if you knew the language you could talk to strangers and I’m sure you’d hear some VERY interesting stories from some of these individuals.

I see, I'm not the only one who came here because of Durarara, what made Ikebukuro so magical lol. But for real, seeing this video for example actually feels like walking by yourself through the city, I love that so much! I've never been in Japan sadly, but it's my biggest dream to be in Ikebukuro once and experienece this atmosphere in reality. Thank you so much for capturing this simple, but great walk through the city.

We settled in a hotel of Ikebukuro the first time my family traveled to Japan on our own. I went to tokyo 3 years ago with the university for 1 week. We were in a guest house in Ikebukuro. Just watching the first 30 seconds of you video made me really nostalgic and want to go back to Tokyo. There's something in the light and architecture in Japan that is just so soothing, it feels like the sun is different than in France, my country. Well... Obviously we don't see the sunlight in this specific video but still... I remember the feeling of the sun light in Japan.

The capability of a DSLR in holding true the colors under artificial lighting is spectacular, as seen in 3:15 .With lesser equipment, the whole scene is usually washed out into the warm spectrum colors of yellow. I don't see that at all, here.
