I know. A walk in Japan with rain and thunderstorms at night. Trust me its even better especially when the lightning lights up the sky. Ram has a walking video of just that.

The fresh aroma after a summer downpour is one of life's pleasing scents. The earthy fragrance was named petrichor by Australian researchers in 1964. They described it as a combination of plant oils and the chemical compound geosmin which are released from the soil when it rains..

It's also great as background for coding. Not as distracting as music, and office sounds getting through noise cancellation blend in with city noise perfectly, creating a calm atmosphere where you can focus. And the picture is a great place to rest your eyes when you just need to think. :) It's like looking out of the window when you aren't sitting next to a window. :D

What a country!! And thank you for giving us a glimpse of this country with captivating beauty.
Please make more of these walking in the rain videos, especially the ones at night when its stormy. I particularly love the video you did a while back where you were walking in the night with the thunderstorms and lightning, it was very atmospheric and relaxing. Your walking tours are always relaxing but something about thunderstorms, lightning and heavy rain at night in japanese cities is just so aesthetically pleasing.

Thanks for all the videos you upload. Japan is commonly idealized as pristine, and your work showcases a welcoming dose of realism. It makes Japan far less intimidating.

Only someone that tried to do what you do knows the difficulties involved. Inspired by you I did some 'Rambalac style" videos when I went to Japan a couple of months ago. So it is hard for me to understand someone giving a dislike to your videos. I think you should focus on the likes that overpowers the dislikes. Keep up the excellent work !

Dear Rambalac: Another beautiful surprise, this other ride in the rain !!! the railway network and that most beautiful and historical relic is that steam engine, once in my country Argentina these Japanese steam engines (Mitsubichi I believe?) were used in the coal deposits of Río Turbio, province of Santa Cruz, and occasionally nowadays they are put back into service ... Beautiful the Park with the stone ponds, in one the brook dried up right? Typical suburbs of beautiful low houses and housing complexes, and at the beginning as to the return as contrasts the urban rhythm of the suburban! the truth that with rain or full sun, your filming always amazes us ... but you have not shown this time to the KZbin star your inseparable companion your beautiful camera Lumix GH5 :-) Thank you so much for continuing to share so much beauty!

Awesome video! Any chance you'd want to do a walk near Takahatafudo station in Hino-shi? I love that area, it has a beautiful temple with a small hike up the hill to get a view of the area over the temple. It's really peaceful. Rarely anyone there. You can also walk along the river that's right next to the station. Also I stayed there for 6 weeks last summer, so it's a really special place to me. Thanks so much!

I like those flowers everywhere. Over here if you put flowerpots out on the street, they would almost certainly be stolen or kicked to pieces. That this doesn't happen in Japan is yet another token of the respect for the fellow human that reigns everywhere.
