I think the styling of the girls, especially Giselle, have been great this era. Gigi really really shines this era. If you listen to Drama with the hidden vocals amplified, you can hear Gigi and Ningning basically sing the whole song in harmony and layering. Gigi does top line and bottom line harmony and it stands out so much. Gigi and Ningning are like the backbone of the group. Like Yeri/Wendy in Red Velvet. They sing the harmonies beautifully throughout all of their songs. Without them, I don’t think it would be as effective. Gigi plays a pivotal role in Aespa and I do think she deserves so much more credit than she gets.

The girl with red hair is Winter, main vocal (was lead vocal but they made her main recently), dancer. @@thelastmoonchild. her expressions in the whole first rap are different and being according to the lyrics, weird that you didn’t see it when it’s the first thing in the performance but let see keep telling u Her expressions changing the whole first chorus, idk if you want her to smile and then put “angry face” to see the difference or what but let me keep😃 Her expressions changing in NN raps in the back(idk if you just ignored it) But you know what happen with people like u saying she only have “black face” is you and many other fans are use to idols being cringe and 0 versatile and doing the exact same moves with their face that are 1, having a smile face, 2, being sassy and wink every 2 second(like NN is doing in this whole performance with 0 variation and just wink), that’s why you can see idols like NN watched kpop stans just liking and thinking someone is a good performer for doing wink, act sassy or smile in the stage and I’m sure she just started to doing all that to make yall happy But at the end of the day we can agree or not in this and the whole “stage presence” situation is just more subjective than objetive, and for what I see people love Karina’s expressions and that’s why she’s the one that gets viral in every comeback and the most popular and not just being hyper(like other idols) by kpop stans that don’t even support those idols in their individual activities 🥰

Whenever someone sings live with a backtrack it sounds like their are two layers; when singing and rapping members have to sing shout due to dancing (you can also tell when the members are dancing you should be able to hear imperfections due to fast movements). Another way is if you look at facial expressions their faces should never look relaxed especially when singing a high note. Hope that helps ☺️

look at Winters neck when shes doing the highnote (2:53), you can see that her neck is totally normal, but when she would be singing live then her neck would kinda move inwards, which is not the case. (Also the breathing and blowing sounds are edited/added to make it look as if it would be live)

SM has always had great vocal groups, for many years I thought they had peaked with Red Velvet's vocal line of Joy, Seulgi and Wendy but aespa really have stole the show for me, every single one of them is a great vocalist, I particularly love Karina's voice, it's not the strongest in the group but she has such a great sound to her voice, it lacks vibrato which gives it an almost spoken style which for some reason sounds so good
