So much old school places of 30+ years. 32 year old 767 still flying around to open up the video, the 40 year old MD-10 still flying strong is awesome at 2:58! That 65 year old Convair Cv-580 at 7:52 is just legendary and still going strong like the 727 at 12:39. :D Great stuff.

I took a tour of that exact 727! I got to sit in the first officers seat 2019 airport open house at PTK. They had that exact 727 for people to walk through for tours. This 727 has had its left and right engines upgraded. I took tons of pictures because the 727 is my favorite airplane.

Great video! I was pLeasantly surprized to see the UPS 767, N320UP, the exact model I have from Gemini Jets 1/400 scale! And the 727 was what I came for, AND the CV-580 WAS ADDED BONUS! GOOD WORK, MY FREIND, WELL DONE!👍🏿

You caught one of my pops company planes. He flies cargo for IFL, but I don't think that particular CV580 was him. 65 years and still flying is a feat that isn't easy to pull off.

Has the 727 been re-engined? Are they JT8D-200s?
@slappymcgillicuddy75324 жыл бұрын
I do believe they are reengined
@Duderocks55394 жыл бұрын
+AndreiTupolev Yep, that’s why it’s not loud at all and doesn’t sound much different then the other jets. The number 2 engine is still a JT8D-1 to -17, but is only used at like half power to match the same volume as the -200s and plus the -200s provide most of the thrust. If all 3 of the engines were still the JT8D-1 to -17s, even with hush kits would be a hell of a lot louder then the JT8D-200s on the Super 27s and MD-80s. MD-80s especially are WAAAAAY over hyped about how “LoUd” they are when they really aren’t that loud, and there is much much louder jets then it like for example a hushed 727 with its original engines.
