Maine is commonly known for it's beautiful beaches, massive lakes, and Acadia National Park. In it's far north is a vast, barely touched expanse of wilderness in Maine's great north woods known as the Allagash. One of the most remote areas in the Northeast this region names very few towns and commonly just names areas by number because there is so little population. Experience the drive through the wilderness on dirt roads through Maine's famous northern pines - the land where an extensive amount of the nation's pine lumber comes from. Very few public roads cross through this area while New Brunswick is just a few miles north, to the south is nearly 100 miles of un-touched wilderness home to black bear, moose and many more iconic northern wildlife.
I hope you enjoy the scenic drive through the Allagash in Northern Maine and its remote isolated beauty. The purpose of these videos is to bring some relaxation or showcase tourist destinations in their natural state without music or narration allowing the location to be the character. Several camping areas, boat launches, fishing, checkpoints/warden station ,even a restaurant, forgot the name. Worth the 100 mile trip from Presque Isle. It’s actually a day trip!

Yes it is! I stayed over in Presque Isle the night before I drove into the Allagash. What an amazing place it is up there. The closest we get in the east to feeling like those remote places out west

Well I’ve definitely not been on this back road thru northern Maine. 🌲🌲🌲 Solitary drive indeed! I’m assuming no Waze, so did you flip a coin when you arrived at those forks in the road or did you actually know where you were going? 🤔 I was kinda expecting to see you pull into a car wash at the end of the video. LOL 😀

This one is about as far north as north goes in Maine. No coins or Waze...this one was strictly taking turns as I came to them and deciding on the fly. I'm not afraid of admitting I may have gotten a little mis-bewildered as to exactly where I was toward the end and how to get back 😂

😂😂😂the coyote is the least of your worries! Unless you have a small, wimpy dog with you. Which they might see as lunch. Crazy moose, horse flies, errant wasps now those are the dangers!🫤
