when I think about your comment about how friendly Thais are, I think it is within our heart...when Thai people see foreigners facing some difficulties they tend to help. myself, I saw a traveler waiting to order at a food court in Bangkok and he will never get attention as all customers need to write down and hand the order, and he didn't know that. I saw he has been waiting for several minutes and decide to jump in and asked if he has ordered....of course as I guess he didn't and wait for the shopkeeper to look at him. so I asked him for a help to order for him and teach how to order. Then I saw him again 2-3 times at the same shop with food in hand...brovo...he got his food. we, Thai, would like to make everyone as our guest having a good time while visiting us, and I think other Thais also think the same. Amazing Thailand..

Nice Shots of the River! Icon Siam is quite the sight to see at night. For those going to Bangkok... I recommend using the Chao Phraya River to get around town! It is fun and cheap. Chao Phraya River Express Boat (Orange Line) is only 16 Baht.
