One was Ryan Stratis, who didn't be in top two non-winners in semifinals, failed at the Gambler; the other one was Jesse Labreck, who finally got the buzzer on Stage 1 three years ago, splashed down at the Roller Coaster. 2. Enzo reached Stage 3 last year, but accidentally missed the middle bar at the Gambler. 3. Chris Behrends and Levi Enright wanted to take the revenge for the Dipping Birds two years ago, but both of them were knocked off by the Gambler eventually. 4. Jody Avila still couldn't break his curse of Stage 1, while the Beast, James, finally hit the buzzer since Season 5. 5. Taylor Greene wanted to be the fourth woman to finish Stage 1 in regular season, but her hands slipped off as she made a big move at Thread the Needle; she still had the best run of all females on Stage 1 for the second straight year. 6. The final runner, Joe Moravsky, got the 33rd buzzer with 33 seconds remaining. 7. In the end, no one used Safety Pass to rematch Stage 1 this year; 26 finishers are about to race against Stage 2.

reasons why season 16 feels much better than season 15: - everyone that's going to stage 2 actually cleared stage 1 - MUCH better graphics - no cringey fonts for the national finals/1m dollars texts - a lot of the old guard doing much better than they did in s15, like Joe and James
