As awful it must be to have the experience depicted in the song I feel like it’s way better to have a night where you cry to the one you love knowing that y’all can’t stay together and leaving each other with that. I only say that because my ex left me with no warning. Everything was great. We were having a great morning and then all of a sudden she only says “by the way it’s over” and drops me off at my highschool. That was the last thing I heard from her and the last time we spoke to each other after 5 years of being together. I feel like I would have been better off if I at least got the reason why
