Winter train ride Zvornik - Šabac - Ruma - Beograd by train 622 (Zvornik - Beograd Centar).
This train ride starts at Mali Zvornik railway station. From Donja Borina the ride switches to main railway line from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Serbia. Brasina railway station is main border railway station at Serbian part of this major freight railway link between Serbia and Bosnia. Railway line Zvornik - Brasina - Šabac - Ruma, with its extension Zvornik - Živinice, across the river Drina, is the main freight railway connection to Bosnia and its industry parts. Between Šabac and Ruma line crosses a large old steel bridge over the Sava river, where it cross from Mačva district to Srem. Then, in Ruma, this non-electrified single track line connects to the main electrified double track line Beograd - Šid - Zagreb. From Stara Pazova the ride continues at new Beograd - Novi Sad main railway line.
The journey begins in nature, far from large urban areas. It reaches Šabac and Ruma, where the train has to change its direction. Then the low mist of winter's eve appears and the sunny day gradually calms down. At the entrance to the urban parts of Belgrade, the evening winter sky changes into beautiful purple and blue tones, which is an especially photogenic scene during this ride. There was not too much snow, but it was quite enough snow to whiten the track and to enable the appearance of beautiful scenic and landscape tones in the evening for greater enjoyment of the ride.
There are numerous malfunctioning track signals along the line and there are numerous scenes of unsafe railroad crossings during this journey. Some are unsafe because car drivers cross the track in front of a moving train, and on some, crossing devices, signals and ramps are not working, or breakdown.
All important scenes, as well as basic data about the train movement, location, speed and elevation are written and shown during the video.

Wow!!! Superb Belgrade in the evening! To my shame, I didn't even see him during the day, even though I'm only 200 kilometers away!!! Your signaling is interesting! I was a traffic employee in Romania for more than 20 years, now an operator, a kind of dispatcher, responsible for a traffic section, but I have never seen until now that the forklifts operated electrically by a single person also have a lantern with his position ! only on the secondary sections, left over from the construction, from over 100 years ago, and those when they were working, were on oil, few being switched to light bulbs; I see that they no longer have them in Belgrade! Is it the new train station that they have been working on for 20 years and which is still not finished, on the outskirts of town? that's how I read on an infrastructure site that he would have worked on it that much! Below are several findings, although mainly the signaling is (still) on the Soviet model, specific to Central and Eastern European states: - the block signals between the stations are separated, in Romania they are on the same mast, even on the modernized sectors at 160 km/h; -at min. 2:27:52 wasn't it to "hold" the red light? It seems to me that you braked too soon! after you gave "orderly overtaking", you resumed the established speed! Here you go at most 20 km/h until the first signal with a permissive light! That saying ... so many brothels, so many customs"! Anyway, your videos are great!!!

Just to confirm that main station is moved to location cca 1500, straight line looking, and ofc never ending project. For the old main station building, plan as for now, is to transform it to museum of history.

What a beautiful journey in the winter sunshine! Very scary - lack of basic safety, such as working signals and many points/switches having no signal control. The driver mostly whistles for crossings, of which there are far too many unprotected. Surprised at the lack of passing loops - presumably very few trains. Does Serbia use a tablet system for single line working?

Bellissimo video dove si respira aria di vecchia ferrovia,ancora con gli apparati a fili e gli scambi a mano. Voglio domandare perché a un certo punto ha effettuato un cambio di direzione e si è ritrovata in un altro luogo senza vedere partire il treno dalla stazione dove prima era arrivato. Io sto vedendo tutti i tuoi video,anche quelli che durano più di sette ore e grazie a te mi sto facendo una cultura ferroviaria dei vecchi paesi del blocco del Est. Mi piacerebbe moltissimo che venissi in Italia a realizzare dei bellissimi video.

Šinobus 812 ima najveću brzinu od 90kmh, Gorbačov je emv, nije dmv. Mada fabrički 711 Putin i Gorbačov 412 imaju 120kmh. I samo im je smanjna brzina u eksplataciji.@@IPaddressgeolocat

Jednostavno utvrdilo se da je izuzetno mali broj putnika ulazio na stanicama izmedju Loznice i Sapca a da je cesto zaustavljanje i pokretanje, zbog jednog-dva putnika i to u svakom trecem ili cetvrtom selu u velikom obimu produzavalo vreme voznje...A htelo se da se Podrinje nekako poveze sto brzim vozovima sa Beogradom...pa se onda odlucilo da od novog reda voznje izmedju Malog Zvornika, Loznice I Sapca i Beograda postoje 2 para vozova, ali sa podignutim rangovima, tako da su to sada Brzi vozovi sa zaustavljanjem samo u Loznici, Sapcu, Rumi i Novom Beogradu...A sa druge strane ne zaboravite da autobusi izmedju Loznice i Sapca saobracaju na svakih maltene 45-60 minuta i da idu kroz centre svakog sela...Za tih par godina koliko su vozovi stojali u svakom selu broj putnika se merio prstima jedne ruke.

Zvornik-Ruma wird in nächste ein paar Jahren für 120 km/h modirniziert (+elektrifizierung und neue Weichen). Auch Stara Pazova-Ruma-Šid (HR) aber für 200 km/h.

Što se tiče Zvornik-Ruma neće ona biti modernizovana skorije i sigurno neće u sledećih 10 godina. A Pazova Šid je delimično remontovana za brzine do 120.I ostala je samo od Rume do Šida. @@ironfoxzone2252

@@IvanNisic Mislim da grešite, u sklopu projekta obnove 2000 km regionalnih pruga (koja uključuje prugu Beograd-Sarajevo čija je sastavna deonica Ruma-Šabac-Zvornih) predviđena je elektrifikacija, modernizacija i dizanje brzina na 100 i 120 km/h. EU daje kredite za sve ovo i vidim da postoji zainteresovanost da se sve ovo odradi. Što se tiče Stara Pazova-Šid, da nešto je obnavljano skoro, ali je odlučeno da se ide na kompletnu modernizaciju za 200 km/h i denivelisanje svih prelaza. U toku je izrada projekta (ako već nije završen) i isto se očekuje pomoć EU u izradi ovog projekta. Možda neće krenuti ove, ali najverovatnije sledeće da.

Mostly lack of interest to invest in railways, on the other hand government buit (and is building now) hundreds of km of highways. Although in last few years they finally made some steps forward with new investments in railways, several big projects for upgrade/modernization are in the process (like that Belgrade-Subotica 200 km/h line) and many new trains were bought.
