Guys!..if you like waterfalls , you can try the Murug-Turug Waterfalls in Kota Belud Sabah and Maliau Basin in Keningau-Kalabakan. That is If you like the adventure of hiking. These waterfalls are multi levels.

Great video showing the terrain and yes its a tough climb because it is steep and it is just up n up with no real respite of a flat area. It is however, totally rewarding reaching the peak. The sight is breath taking. I was there 27 years ago where there was only a really basic base camp with no ropes and ladders on the climb. Happy to see the safety improvements.

Was honestly scared at some points of my climb where there were no ropes and ladders. That is 27 years ago. Comparing Mt Kinabalu to Gunung Api, if Mt Kinabalu is a 10, then Gunung Api is a 13-15 in difficulty.

@@adventuresofmc7002 I climbed Mt Kinabalu in 1983. Only the Sayat-Sayat Section had a rope. There were no restaurant there , we have to carry our own food stuff up the mountain .There is only one hostel at Panar Laban....but if anyone wants a real climb , try the Nungkok Peak - it is the beautiful but sharp twin peaks - Mt Kinabalu little sisters. Lower but Sharper tips.

Why do people keep calling this place Gunung Mulu NP, when the correct and proper name is Mulu NP. My bet is that most people visiting there have never seen Gunung Mulu other than from the plane if they are lucky. Statment like ' the Pinnacles of Gunung Mulu" just doesn't make sense
