Beautiful. The artist who made the design for the glass window in the Cathedral is by a very famous artist, Gerhard Richter. I love his work. I really think he's one of the greatest living painters.

Vielen Dank fürs zuschauen und kommentieren!! :) ja, ich wollte es schon vor einem Jahr filmen, aber immer kam etwas dazwischen als ich in Köln meine anderen Touren gefilmt habe. Diesmal hat es aber geklappt! :) die Kathedrale ist wirklich Atemberaubend und ich bin langsamer als normalerweise gelaufen, um auch Details wie die Fenster und die Säulen in den Fokus zu rücken.

Wow, to see the cathedral this empty is very unique. Also, the "fountain" at 1:00 isn´t a fountain but the third spire of the towers. They build one in reserve, in case something happened to one of the other two. And if you stand next to it, you can better feel the dimensions of this cathedral.

The spire is 190' tall. It's a to scale replica of one of the finials atop one of those spires so that we can see what it looks like without being a climber, it was never intended as a replacement "in reserve."

@@Paolo8772 you are right. Don't remember anymore where I got this information. The spire on the bottom is in fact a concrete replica, not a third original. Sorry about that.
