You also have to consider the niche that the Black Magics fit into. Their data rates are insane, batteries are all internal (except for the pocket version), can't do stills, and no variable frame rate options. But their dynamic range and resolution are insanely gorgeous. I went the hybrid route because I also do still photography and I need a highly flexible system. I still might pick up a BM sometime in the future for shoots that have difficult lighting and I need the dynamic range, but my GH4/GH2 combo is doing great for now.

I shot this with the Zuiko 45mm f/1.8 lens, aperture at f/1.8 most of the time. It handles intense contrast very well. I also like to use a Nikkor Ais 50mm f/1.4 but in lighting like this that lens has terrible purple fringing open past f/2.8
