I know it's an old video, but he didn't mention one of the biggest differences between the XBOX 1X and the PS4 PRO can be seen by playing the crusader. One of his primary attack moves called "Smite” gets extra animations on the 1X version, he actually throws visible chains and the attack looks much, much better. In the PRO version, there are no chains at all.

People in comments cracking me up in these comparisons like "yah, told ya Xbox One X gonna version was gonna be better!" Of course it is...this isn't different architecture like back in the PS3/360 days. They are basically the same machine except now the X has more of everything. If the X loses in any comparison to the Pro it is due to bad optimization, it should win every single comparison from here on out because there is not one thing the Pro has that is better/faster this time around.

That is what I said as well, imo since it is a newer system it will have better specs. Is Sony released it this week it would be equal easily. Both are solid systems just depends what you prefer, I have my original PS4 still and it is great but I have a One S as well. I have been leaning toward a Pro since I love games like God of War and the Last of us 2. When Sony makes a new system it will Smash the X, it is a cycle of them jumping each other.

Now I can play my fav dungeon looting game all over again in ultra 4k sweet. Really the Xbox One S vs PS4 Pro 1st upgrade console for each company, and that advertised 4k gaming. The Xbox One X is alone in the 2nd upgraded console area until Sony's next machine. Funny how that's all been pushed around after Microsoft was put in their place for advertising "Play Gears of War 4 in 4k on the Xbox One S". So many content creators across the industry have straight up fell for or pushed this strange narrative that "Microsoft made the Xbox One X because Sony falsely claim 4k gaming for the PS4 Pro" when the opposite is basically the PROVEN case. The Xbox One S was advertised as a 4k gaming console as their FIRST "mid-generation refresh" and Sony announced and dropped the PS4 Pro as their FIRST "mid-generation refresh". Microsoft came out with the Xbox One X as a SECOND upgrade. Sony hasn't announced their SECOND upgrade yet. So comparisons like this should highlight the fact that it's the same thing as comparing the PS4 Pro to the original Xbox One (different release cycles) or the Xbox One S to the original PS4 (different release cycles) Or better yet for the graphics card enthusiasts, it would be like comparing nvidia GeForce FX graphics cards to current 1080's and saying "you can buy them right now, from a store, so that means they're equal in comparison. Actually the real point is that the Xbox One X is showing it's got a lot more power under the hood over the PS4 Pro, what if a game was using the same resolution on both consoles, the One X would have a major advantage in being able to up the visual settings a lot where the Pro can't.

Diablo 3 is not really a good test case because it runs quite easy on mid range PC at 4k, but it's clear that the One X is going to likely be better on almost all multiplats going forward over the PS4 Pro, how developers use that extra power is up to them but expect better visuals and more stable frame rates.

I would have loved to see some higher end craziness. I only play at T8 and up to GR50. Even at this lower level my brother and I can push the XB1 Elite to the point where it starts using flat lowres placeholder images for objects like necromancer corpses. happy to see the one X in action at my house since 2 days now, and really happy to notice that even games that have not been patched or enhanced for xbox one X really get a drastic boost, from Xbox OG games, to 360 games , to Xbox one non patched games yet... MS did a great job with this console, it is the way it works when u upgrade your GPU on a PC, your old games have a boost patch or no patch and that is the way i hope that these new iterations of console like the next Playstation will handle things too.

I would suggest anyone with a xbox one X grab a 4k tv....Monitors is cool but 27" is way to small for 4k i mean yes its clear but with 8million pixlels everything is bunched together...40" would be better and they say thats to small really need 55" or bigger but 40" you can see the screen nicely...27" just to small ive done it for some time

SupernaturalSpy It's still a good system. 1440p is the standard for some PC gamers. For PS exclusives Pro is the best way to play them. For multiplatform games though, looks like Xbox One X and PC will offer the better experience though.

That's all nice & dandy. But does it really pop up during gameplay. To me these are quite minor differences. But it has quite a lot to do with the game, too. Since D3 was never a graphical showcase to begin with. Stable framerate is of course a very welcome addition.

So, Watching this video the XBOX ONE X is slightly better but on the other hand the PS4 PRO has more exclusives and is a hundred dollars cheaper and right now in Europe you can get a PS4 PRO w/ Uncharted the lost legacy, Gran Turismo Sport, Wipeout Omega Collection and Horizon Zero Dawn with The Frozen Wasteland expansion for the same price. Damn that bundle is hard to pass up and hopefully that comes to North America before Christmas 2017.

+PrimiusLovin You mad bro? The 1X is a fantastic console. I have Diablo 3 on PS4/Xbox1/PC and prefer it on the Consoles. I enjoy gaming on pretty much any machine, if you do not have the time and means I am sorry. I have already enjoyed putting in Ninja Gaiden Black and Psychonauts on the 1X and they look and play fantastic. I do not need to edit .ini files or search for user mods on steam to get these to run amazingly well. Recently a prominent developer banned 30,000 cheaters from their game Let all that sink in really slowly!...Yourself. Happy Gaming!

+PrimiusLovin Honestly your comment at least to me seems very salty hope you don't mind the ribbing. As to your being baffled by MS Console Division releasing the 1X. I speculate it was released because: 1. They had a massive perceived power difference just between launch units gorgeous exclusive titles for Sony magnify this perception. 2. PS4Pro is already at market, despite it not exactly doing massive sales numbers or getting great developer support it is still something for market strategist to consider given the huge market share lead of Sony. 3. Don Mattrick comments and decisions made a less than favorable position for Xbox much worse. Recall "we have a console for players offline...its called Xbox 360" etc. 4. MS perhaps rightly or not rightly shuddered several 1st party or partner developed exclusives. Maybe Scalebound would have been crap or some of those other few exclusives that got shut down mid-development would have done more harm than good for the brand. These are just a few things and probably much more going on behind the scenes. As for console upgrades we have had several add-on and upgrades going back to the 80s and 90s to include Sega-CD, Sega 32x, the ill fated famicom drive, or Nintendo Playstation that never was. Nintendo has had how many mid-gen refresh of their handheld systems now 3DS, New 3DS, New 2DS etc? Sony always released a few slim or whatever models. Xbox has now gotten into the upgrade game. Though this sort of same-gen refresh has been on a limited hiatus it is really nothing new. If you own and enjoy Xbox games everything runs better, sure you can run it on a S-Unit (which also runs better than Xbox One Launch units) but if you have the means it is quite a nice system. You are free to read in my words whatever you want. I only used XB1X as an example because I feel that the current state in which gaming consoles are in is more pronounced in MS's camp due to the historical fact that they always seem to be lagging behind when it comes to quality AAA, exclusive games. But I could have said the same about PS4 pro too, because the worrying fact is that new consoles are being released to play old videogames! What the hell happened to that so important and exciting moment when a new console was being released with brand new games that were a huge improvement over what had come before? There was a clear difference between console generations since the Atari 2600 up until PS3, Xbox 360 era. But that difference is hard to find from PS3 to PS4 and almost negligible from PS4 to PS4 Pro... unless we're talking about "resolution war", because apparently that's what Sony, MS and game developers think that's what we want! I wouldn't be surprised at all if the next console gen is announced to play at 8K, with games struggling to hit 30fps... Then they will release another console to play the same games at 8K but still struggling to hit 60fps. And because it's now trendy to do this sort of business strategy, they will then decide that they want gamers to buy yet a new console to play the same old games at 8K, at constant 60fps. You've read it first here... Have a nice day :) PS: yeah, the Sega-CD, Sega 32x were addons that improved games but they had game exclusives, which is not the case with the XB1X... and we all know how commercially successful those addon consoles were, don't we.

comparison between X and Pro basically : $499 Xbox one X = 2k-4k sometime checkerboard 4k $350-$399 PS4 Pro = 1080p-2k rarely native 4k sometime checkerboard 4k from 10 games comparision I see so far 90% of the time visual quality look the same, frame rate are the same, the only different between these consoles is resolution. its your choice if you willingly to pay extra over other console or not. you pay more you get more.

I am still playing this game on my PS3. It looks great on last gen hardware, but this is amazing. No need to upgrade tho I don't see why.
