That's what I need. Walk these small inner streets alone, no talking, no noise, just going ahead and thinking about anything, daily routine. Yes.

This is what a walkable city looks like. I stayed in an area similar to this when I visited Tokyo (Ohanajaya in Katsushika). It was amazing not having to drive everywhere. It can really take a lot of stress out of your life.

He manages to take a handful of the intimately mundane and hold it up in-front of the camera. He has a recurring gift for this. I hope my experiences of my time in Japan have moments of his Japan. And I hope this year is an incredible year for Rambalac.

I like that you added something new, Soba Eating ASMR! Including background plates stacking sound from kitchen, news broadcasting sound from TV, sauce pouring sound, soba dipping sound, soba entering mouth sound, soba chewing sound, crunchy tempura sound, surprising second hidden soba, tea drinking, menu showing, lastly "gochisousama~" voice and looking up to restaurant's ceiling, how enjoyable~ 😌

I love these quieter backstreets videos. I love seeing all the shows down narrow streets and feel a sense of discovery around every corner. The meal portion at the end was also a nice change. Not sure why but I liked it.

Great walk as always. I love watching these kinds of backstreet walks at night. No unnecessary noise in the streets, great for walking and relaxing. Also, love that Jeep that passes by at 24:20, no wonder American cars are rare in Japan, they are huge compared to Japanese cars. Keep it up ~ 03-09

Thanks for the video! I went here early in the morning to see the temple, had the whole place to myself which made it even more peaceful and beautiful. I'm hoping to get back to Japan in early 2024.

This one is going to the favorite list! The thing that makes me love your channel is the fact that is very personal, and this video was even more, the end is just perfect! Super in favor of you doing more stuff that you just wanna do, the experience of quiet watching is very relaxing, on another note, the beginning of the video gave me anxiety because the fast walking pace, i do no if the temple was going to close and you want it to get inside, but still this is not a complain!

As we all know Gotokuji is famous for having over 1,000 lucky cat figurines on its temple grounds. The lucky cats, called Maneki-Neko in Japanese, symbolize the temple. The temple was founded in 1633 and is said to be built in honor of a white cat that saved feudal lord Ii Naotaka from a terrible storm.

Hey! I just left Tokyo yesterday and was also hanging around in Akihabara. If you are still in Tokyo, I NEED to tell you about an incredible pop-up event that you MUST see before it's gone on the 23rd. It's in Ginza, and it's the "Animage and Studio Ghibli Exhibition." The exhibition is held on the 8th floor in the event space of Matsuya Ginza, which is only a 4-minute walk from Ginza Station. You cannot afford to miss this, it was remarkable.

That meal at the end there looked pretty delicious. I thought it already looked like a good size amount of food, and then you flipped the container the noodles were on to reveal MORE noodles! What was that sauce that you dipped the noodles and tempura shrimp into?

It might be grated daikon radish, green onion (Japanese leeks)pieces, and wasabi (horseradish).
