WOWOWOWOW!! Great views!! Fun aircraft to fly on. This had brought back memories for me back in April 1972 when my grandmother and I flew on a similar kind of aircraft from PBI up to Disney World. They had their own airport. I flew on Shawnee Airlines. We went past the Kennedy Space Center along the way. This was right after Disney World had first opened. Tomorrowland was my favorite part of the park. Seeing the scenery on your video brought this back for me. On the flight back down to PBI, we went thru T-Storm clouds, lightning, thunder, the whole 9 yards. JEEZ!! We were being tossed around like you wouldn't believe. It was almost like what you see in the movies. All we needed was a gremlin on the plane's wing! Anyhow, we're having a mix of wildfire smoke and low clouds. The marine air has moved in, like someone turned on the air conditioner during the night.

That's a beautiful looking plane. The leg space ain't bad either. I'm impressed.

I agree on both accounts. The ATR is an underrated aircraft IMO.

A mistake I'm sure, but I sure appreciated it haha. Otherwise, once we'd sat there long enough, my brain would start to go through all of the potential problems as to why we weren't going yet haha.

ATR's are really underrated, and kind of have a bad reputation since they didn't use to preform great in cold weather. But I love them. Fun planes to fly on!

Always been curious about the ATR. I would love to fly on Air Saint-Pierre's ATR. They only have one plane in their fleet that travels to Saint-Pierre from YYT, YHZ & YUL. Great content as always!

I love the ATR. Some of it's nostalgia fed for me though. When I really started flying and traveling a lot as a teenager, I flew on American Eagle ATR-72's ALL THE TIME. For a long time, AE ATR's were my most flown on aircraft type. I hope you get the chance to fly one my friend!

Not related to this video (which was excellent)......Have you ever flown into/out of Toronto? Porter Airlines flies out the Downtown Island Airport (Billy Bishop) and flies to some pretty exciting destinations ..Thunder Bay, Timmons, Sudbury, Tremblant , Windsor in addition to basic Destinations....Washington, Newark, Boston, Chicago. Most of their flights are on the Dash 8 - Q400 and I believe they are now flying some CRJ's out of the main Toronto Pearson airport. Maybe some day when you are thinking about flying into a place you never dreamed of visiting.🙂

I haven't. It's on my list. I actually had a whole Canada trip planned earlier this year, but I had a bit of a health issue come up and I decided it wasn't prudent at that time to fly internationally (even Canada) in case what I was dealing with flared up or needed to be dealt with. I'm actually still dealing with it now, but I've since been been told that there's no reason I shouldn't travel internationally. But, by the time we'd kind of figured that out it was into the summer and it was when Canada was dealing with all the wildfire smoke. So I decided to just hold off until later. I'm hoping to do that and much more in Canada next year.

That Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127M engine is a thing of beauty. I'm curious, was it as quiet and pleasant sounding as this recording makes it seem? Amazingly reliable and efficient machine! Gosh, though, what the heck is that airline thinking with a SYNTHESIZED VOICE for announcements!? Eww.... just.... eww.
@sla31 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it was. People always thing of the Q400 when they think of quiet turboprops because Bombardier did a great job marketing it that way. But I've always thought the ATR was quieter than the Q400.

Yes, the ATR does have a history of icing. It will be interesting to see what the official report determines once it's released.
