WOWOWOWOW!!! GREAT view of Downtown St. Louis!! I've stood right at the base of The Arch. Good views of all of the semis on I-70 coming into Lambert. And wonderful views of Nashville! I've never been to Nashville, or Tennessee for that matter. It's also one of the few states that I've never flown over. I did, however, watch the TV series Nashville when it was on. Wow. What a super-fantastic super-awesome singing voice Connie Britton had!! Sheesh! Juliette Barnes was a constant trainwreck.

I've never lived in St. Louis, but I have family that lives there, so I've spent a lot of time in the area over the years. The arch, downtown, Busch Stadium watching the Cardinals. My grandma, at 91, still watches every Cardinals game. To be honest, I'm not much of a baseball fan, but it never fails, the family wants to go to a game when we're all together, so I'll go just for the conversations and camaraderie. I remember standing near the arch in.... what was it... 1993? When the Mississippi River flooded and the water was up to those stairs that lead down from the bottom of the arch. I've also been to STL many times as a passenger pick up haha. Living near Joplin, St. Louis is only about 4ish hours drive. So, we usually drive up I44. Since we have our vehicles we often end up picking up other relatives at the airport. Many memories from the area!

I have been flying out and in of STL numerous times during the TWA/ Ozark heydays and I’m heartbroken because STL is not like the heyday but welcome Southwest Airlines to STL anyway

It was indeed a gorgeous day to fly, and sometimes you just get lucky with approaches. This day was one of those days. The weather was good, the lighting was good, pretty minimal haze, and a good approach that took us right past downtown. Thanks for watching my friend!

That was a fun video to watch! As a fellow (new) content creator I'm fully inspired by your video and your work. Just curious what you used to keep the camera steady in the window for the entire flight? Keep up the great work and content
@sla312 жыл бұрын
Thanks my friend. I'm glad you're enjoy the content! My secret is years of practice haha. Contrary to what most people think, I don't use any type of mount to hold the camera for me. I hold the camera by hand, to get the best possible final product. Separating the camera from the plane eliminates vibrations from transferring from the plane to the lens of the camera. It's not easy though. When I started this channel, 7 years ago, I was lucky to be able to hold the camera steady for 5 minutes. After years of practice, and getting better and better at it, I can now go for about 2 hours at a time if needed between breaks. No matter how long it took though, I have always held the camera by hand. Practice makes perfect, as they say.

Thanks man. So far, of the ones I've flown on, I think All Nippon Airways was probably the best. Incredible attention to detail, the best meals I've ever had on a plane, and constant service from the crew, even in economy.

this wasnt a hard landing but when a plane lands hard does it hurt? Even if i travel 1-3 time in a year i never had a super hard landing just some smooth normal and hard! Also The Landing Was Amazing
@sla312 жыл бұрын
No, not in my experience. I've been in some hard landings, including one where the plane had to be removed from service afterwards to go through maintenance checks, and they never "hurt." Now, they can be quite surprising and they can rattle you a bit based on that, but I wouldn't say that any of the harder landings I've ever had have physically hurt me at all. The aircraft's landing gear and structure are designed to absorb those type so things, so most of the physical force, even during a rough or hard landing, is absorbed by the plane. Not your body. Anyway, thanks for watching, and I'm glad you enjoyed this one!
