Seriously, is every ride in this park half-assed? The space is so empty in an almost scary way. They take no time to use the huge room they were given and give bare minimum in effort and quality. This only reminds me of my two absolute favorite rides of the same style, Toy Story Midway Mania and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters... Both have spectacular immersion and your eyes can't stop moving everywhere. There is so much so see and interact with, making a nostalgic and spectacular experience that the Toy Story films deserve. The Ghostbusters was one of my favorite films as a kid, and seeing it so underappreciated here is extremely disappointing. I will never go to this park, how boring and lacklustre.

I imagine all of their creative meetings go something like this: Lead Designer: Ok guys, we're going to build a big, boxy showbuilding... Park Heads: *move towards edge of seats* LD: ...and fill it with static props with limited movement in unnecessarily large scenes... PH: *excited gasps* LD: ...and we're going to go T R A C K L E S S! PH: *lose shit, applaud, confetti canons go off, hug each other, sign REALLY big check, do shots with lead designer*

I think the issue is the lighting and ambience. They could’ve hidden some of the empty space if they turned the lights out and used directed lighting effects and maybe some smoke. Also, crank the volume up!

That was super small and weak just 100 inch flat screens everywhere? And not that much theme on the ride. The cue looked more detailed lol. And why where you shooting green and purple blobs should have had 2 second burst streams and do not cross them lol Anyways this did not turn out well.

It may not have been great... or very good... but at the very least it was different. This ride here is like the exact same ride featured all throughout this park but with a slight Ghostbusters theme.

dubai is an amazing trip to take, but this is kind of a theme through out. the money was put out to build the shell/venues but its common to see the insides/decor cut. i wouldn't call it a lack of imagination per say, but definitely a way of cutting corners and the fact that a lot of this was ushered in during a building gold rush. you also have to remember the structure thats in place and how international dubai is. much of this is a newer concept to the people building/operating it. they pulled in outside designers who were trying to match atheistics to fit dubai and a global tourist. outside of paying to use certain IP in a theme park settings, much of it was up to them to gather the resources where in most cases IP holders have direct insight to design venues like this with much more extensive teams of creators. as they have more time to bake and gain experience in the field it will continue to get better.

I think all these rides are just from the same park and that park has this level of quality across the board. I know Formula Rosa is in Farari Land in Dubai and that's a really famous roller coaster. It's actually the fastest in the world, and reaches that speed in 5 seconds.

Omg I have never seen so many negative comments for a ride in one place before !!!! Before judging for yourself by watching this on ride footage book yourself a trip to Dubai and go and visit Motiongate, this is actually my new favourite theme park purely based on my visit in December 2019, the rides are awesome and well themed and because the parks are so quiet over there everything was walk on all day !!! Yes I agree that Ghostbusters is not going to win the best dark ride in the world award but the theming of the fire station building and queue line is awesome and if you are a fan of the films you will love this ride

The best designed ride in the park, and that's STILL not saying anything. The line was fine, and a shooting ride based on one of the most beloved comedy scifi movies of all time should be a no brainer, but again, fell short. Just set pieces, hardly separated in a box warehouse. Pretty much every scene had the same ghosts, and most of the screens aren't very big. The irony is that they gave the biggest screen to a random octopus ghost midway through the ride, and what SHOULD have been the grand finale with the friggin Stay Puffed Marshmallow Man had like a 60 inch TV!!! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?? It hurts that a Ghostbusters RIDE could be so, just... meh... There's a line from the movie, from everyone who has had to ride these rides to the designers: "Yes, we both have the same problem, you." ... "This building should be condemned..."
