Is roller-skating allowed here? I just imagined the minuses in -18 temperature in my toasty Lahore and my blood started to chill really. I could have frozen right here but, then, I saw your building and it truly warmed the cockles of my heart. This is a beautiful City Living Room to assemble citizenry safe and warm in the middle of this incredibly hostile weather. And it's so VAST, almost as big a space as a town square. I particularly love that meandering, undulating, wooden 'landscape' of the Reading Room with entire groups doing their own thing, some studying, some snoozing, some even chatting away... and, then, a lot of them simply sitting idle in those comfy chairs on that mile-long wooden plateau by the terrace, enjoying the magnificent white view outside. I wonder how a citizens' gathering outside on that beeeautiful terrace be like in high summers. I would like to visit this lovely country of yours, mainly to have a tipple of your world famous Vodka, Finlandia, with Santa Klaus, whose home town is here somewhere, I hear. It would be nice meeting Ruddolph & crew, may be even accompany Papa Christmas on a gift-distributing mission on The Night. But, then, I think of the minus --18 cold and the few teeth that I 've left start buzzing & chattering. Can't he and the crew come to Lahore where temperature is never less than +18 on Christmas night?😍🤩🥰😅😂🤣🤑🥸😎😇❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎💐🌸💮🏵🌺🌻🌼🪴🌲🌳🌴🍁🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

These are the modern library. It is much more than just a 19th century library, it is an urban hub of culture and craft production. It was designed together with the citizens of Helsinki who defined its request functional spaces. Similar library concepts have been developed in Oslo. We showed it in a recent our video. @@carbonc6065 Good to see someone agrees with me lol, if you actually tried to read there, or do any kind of work, i'm sure you know what I mean. As a cafe or chill hangout spot its alright, the mixed use spaces are cool but yeah its not a place for quiet time.

It looks nice, but not many books ... And the books that ARE there looks boring and stale--the shelving, that is. No thanks.

In the modern library the books are not all displayed on the shelves obviously. The books are requested and in a short time they are brought from deposit to the reading room by robots. No library in the world puts millions of books on the shelves, there are deposits for that. Thanks for the comment!
