This is not because my opinion has changed, but because of the threat of up to 15 years in prison in Russia for a text I have written. So far, more than 600 criminal cases have been opened, and arrests are made every day. People are judged for likes, comments, reposts and even simple opinions. Going out in the street with a blank poster, the book "1984"/"War and Peace," hanging a Ukrainian flag, putting a badge with a Ukrainian flag on a briefcase, even just standing in the square (raising your hands) and many other things - for all this you can get a fine, imprisonment, and other repressive measures. All independent media outlets are blocked on the Internet, or officially abolished. Most journalists have gone to Georgia/Armenia/Lithuania/Latvia and broadcast there; those who remain in the Russian Federation either do not write about Ukraine or are under criminal prosecution. Because you cannot say "WAR", it is a Special "Military Operation". All the data you are allowed to say is from the state propaganda media. You tell UN data, investigations or independent media articles - up to 15 years in prison. You say "WAR" - up to 10 years in prison. A woman with two children was fined 500,000 rubles ($6,000) for picketing alone (which the Constitution guarantees). It has already happened in history - in 89 in Poland and in 90 in Germany. it is possible! Athema, no one blames you as a nation, but unfortunately it is in your hands to let everyone know what is really going on beyond your western border. Unfortunately, it is you as humans who will have to clean up this mess and wash away this blood. This madman won't stop at anything, and we all know it. But most importantly, we don't blame you as a nation. You are also victims of this regime. Hang on and try to think positively at all costs, however positive this may sound like in this situation. Take care of your health and take care of those you love and what you love - music, because you do it great. I hope you will come to Poland someday! We hug you, hold on brother!
