What I really like about your channel, is that you show us places that are not so well known (at least not to me). The Sannai Maruyama Site looks so interesting (I love history). In Switzerland, in the canton of Wallis, we have similar houses on stilts, to store grains. They are on stilts, with a wide stone between the stilt and the storage house, so that mice cannot climb up, and eat the grains.

The art museum also looks very good, and I like to learn that Ken also means dog, and not only prefecture. Do both have a different pronunciation (like in mandarin), or do you just know by content if dog or prefecture is meant ?

Thank you for the interesting history of Swizerland! Only been to Bern and Grindelwald. Place I go is the place I wanto go as Japanese so that might be the difference. But will go to Kyoto some day. And "ken" for dog and prefecture is the same pronounciation. I think it's artists Nara's sense of humor to combine it as a joke, and from the fact that he is from Aomori. BTW ken also means sword with smae pronouciation.

@@epicjapan-experience I live in a village just 15 minutes away by train from Bern. I love that you are NOT going to the popular spots like Kyoto. For those kind of places, I dont need inspiration. I wish to discover special, unknown and new (for me) places in Japan, and for that your channel is great. I have already written this in my former message to you. But maybe you are using google translator, and it is not translating well ? Ken is sword, prefecture and dog, all with the same pronouciation. In moments like this, I realise that japanese is really very foreign to me.

@@swissfoodie3542 Maybe I skipped reading apologies. And sometimes have typos on the movie. I don’t use google translator, so that my cause the typos, laughs

@@epicjapan-experience I think there is a misunderunstanding. I love your channel and you really have nothing to apology about. I am very impressed by your english language skills. Its very good, and you also manage to include jokes into your videos, which is something that not everybody can do, especialy not in an non first language. My first language is french, but I feel much more comfortable in german (or rather, swiss german). English is a language that I learned in school, and I think that I am quite fluent in it. Mainly because I lived & worked in the US for a year after finishing my studies.
