[4K] Jeonju Night Walk - Gaeksagil Shopping Street to Hanok Village | 전주의 번화가 야경 산책 - 객사길에서 전주한옥마을까지

Hello, This is Walk Together.
Today, we are going to take a walk along the night view of Gaeksa-gil, the downtown area of Jeonju. Jeonju Gaeksa-gil is a street where you can enjoy shopping and gourmet food at the same time. It is also close to Jeonju Hanok Village, so many people visit it together. Usually, they come in the direction of Jeondong Catholic Church - Pungnammun - Jeolla Gamyeong - Jeonju Pungpajigwan, or they go through Jeonju Nanjang and Dongmun-gil and go to Gaeksa-gil. Also, in Gaeksa-gil, there are theaters where works of the Jeonju International Film Festival are screened, and you can see various events during the festival on Jeonju Cinema Street. For that reason, there are many cases of visiting Jeonju Hanok Village and Gaeksa-gil together. This time, we looked around Gaeksa-gil and finished the night walk by walking along Dongmun-gil to Jeonju Hanok Village. So shall we walk together?

오늘은 전주의 번화가인 객사길의 야경을 따라 산책을 해 볼 예정입니다. 전주 객사길은 쇼핑과 맛집을 함께 즐길 수 있는 거리로, 전주한옥마을과도 가까워서 함께 방문하는 사람들도 많습니다. 보통 전동성당-풍남문-전라감영-전주풍패지관 방향으로 오거나, 아니면 전주난장과 동문길을 거쳐서 객사길로 가기도 합니다. 또한, 객사길에는 전주 국제영화제의 작품들이 상영되는 극장들이 위치해 있고, 전주 영화의 거리에서 축제 기간에는 다양한 행사도 볼 수 있습니다. 그렇다보니, 전주 여행때 함께 객사길을 엮어서 방문하는 경우도 많고요. 이번에는 객사길 주변을 둘러보고, 동문길을 따라 전주한옥마을까지 걸어서 야경산책을 마쳤습니다. 그럼 함께 걸어보실까요?

Winter is the low season and it is popular from spring to fall. Especially for weekend. There are many hotels incl. hanok stays around here. Int'l Film festival is one of biggest in Korea.

Is the Hanok village the last stretch at the end? It’s lovely... is it more of a commercial area, unlike Bukchon which is more residential, or have I got that wrong?

you got it right. Jeonju hanok village became more commercial. It wasnot like this, but has changed a lot recently.
