Mine too! At least it will be whenever I finally do get to go on that ride! 😁 I don’t know if you’re a fan of it at all, but fun fact; the mail lion named Dakari was the model for adult Simba in The Lion King remake.

Is there an old Video of this from about 2002 - 05 They had the story back in those days & even though I had my headphones on while on that ride I missed a lot of the Dialogue . I should've save the music for a later boring trip .

That was actually Walt's original plan, but his investors said it would be impossible at that time.

Kristina Louise DIYS, that was the original plan, but they decided that it wasn’t possible at the time. So now Jungle cruise is on a much smaller plot of land, there is no space to put real enclosures in.

Kristina Louise DIYS this (Kilimanjaro Safaris) is actually Walt Disney's original vision for the Jungle Cruise. It is larger than the entire Magic Kingdom and is one of the most ambitious attractions ever built.

walt disney originally tried to use real animals on the jungle cruise in disneyland, but their unpredictability made them not able to be used in the cruise

This is not a wildlife reserve it is a Zoo only a fancy one. Wildlife reserve 's is where the animals roam freely between each other come to South-Africa and see how a real wildlife reserve looks like you do not see all the animals on one day you have to search for the animals and have some luck.

Oh, and another one: Magic Kingdom (107 acres) can fit perfectly in Kilimanjaro Safaris (110 acres). And that make DAK is the largest Disney park in the world (510 acres).

It’s the story of the ride. It is a preserve in the plot but in reality it’s a bunch of exhibits to replicate a safari. But like on real safaris, you may not see everything. The animals are allowed to rest, hide, and roam their designated zones as they please. If they want, they can sleep out on the savannah if they don’t want to return to the night barns (this is necessary for the safety and health of the animals like if a Hurricane is coming or if the animals need check ups or need to have privacy like when giving birth so the baby can be checked up and safe until it can roam the savannah or the exhibits)

Fun fact: newer safari trucks are Ford chassis with V10 gas engines and air suspension. Also with Super duty dash layout. They sound nice but miss the gas V8 and Allison whine from the older GMC chassis.
