Elspeet is a small village in the province of Gelderland, located on the Veluwe between Nunspeet and Uddel. It has about 4000 inhabitants and is best known for its beautiful nature and peaceful surroundings.
The village has a long history, dating back to the fourteenth century. At that time, Elspeet was first mentioned as a farming village that lived off agriculture. Nowadays there are still many agricultural companies in and around the village.
In addition to the beautiful natural surroundings, Elspeet also has a few places of interest, such as the Oude Kerkje, which dates from 1838. This church is now used as a wedding location and for concerts and cultural events.
The daily market and the annual sheep market (in August) are also popular activities among both the villagers and tourists.

Elspeet is een klein dorp in de provincie Gelderland, gelegen op de Veluwe tussen Nunspeet en Uddel. Het heeft ongeveer 4000 inwoners en staat vooral bekend om haar prachtige natuur en rustige omgeving.
Het dorp heeft een lange geschiedenis, die teruggaat tot de veertiende eeuw. In die tijd werd Elspeet voor het eerst genoemd als boerendorpje dat leefde van de landbouw. Tegenwoordig zijn er nog steeds veel agrarische bedrijven te vinden in en rondom het dorp.
Naast de mooie natuurlijke omgeving heeft Elspeet ook enkele bezienswaardigheden, zoals het Oude Kerkje dat dateert uit 1838. Dit kerkje wordt tegenwoordig gebruikt als trouwlocatie en voor concerten en culturele evenementen.
Ook de daagse markt en de jaarlijks terugkerende schapenmarkt (in augustus) zijn populaire activiteiten onder zowel de dorpsbewoners als toeristen.
Al met al is Elspeet een heerlijke plek voor wie houdt van rust, ruimte en natuur.
