I like RE alot as well! Though I ll never understand why they didn't add back in the vigor flail! That s my fav weapon. If memory serves though you can play through the campaign with the girl characters at some point right? I seem to remember doing that with kasumi

Yeah, you can play chapter challenge with Kasumi, Ayane, and Momiji. I assume they just didn't have time to add weapons. RE came out only 9 months after NG3, they did a lot in a really small amount of time to try and fix the game. I would have loved to have the flails and tonfa though.

I was able to finish ultimate ninja on previous installment due to glitch on farming karma easily. Since this current one take glitch down I assume, I'm able to play this difficulty by keep doing Steel on Bone.

Hello, I don't remember very well, when you start Master Ninja, do you start with all the weapons? I don't remember that ... I finished it with the beetle glitch, but I want to finish it from scratch, without NewGame + or something similar.

I think the weapons are there in the skill shop to buy right away, but you don't actually have anything besides the Dragon Sword at first. I don't remember to be honest.

It seems like they fixed up the frame rate by a lot, and the recovery animations don’t seem to screw you. Every time I pull off a combo the earlier modeled game, it seems like the animation buffers my attempt to slide.

First time I've heard such high praise for Razor's Edge. Whenever the 3D Ninja Gaiden's are brought up most are quick to bring up Black/Sigma being the best. The most I've played of the Ninja Gaiden's is around a 1/4 of 2, so I don't exactly have a ton of prospective with this series. Regardless, why is this entry superior over previous ones?

I would guess it's more a matter of Sigma being redundant and only making Black worse, while Sigma 2 is a significantly different game than Ninja Gaiden II.

I do think Black and the original NG2 are better games, but I'd take Razor's Edge over the Sigma versions. Still, RE is a great game on its own. I appreciate how different the combat is, it's fast and flows really well, and the new mechanics they added are fun to play with (especially the Cicada Surge; I like the slide and Steel on Bone as well, and the changes to the UT and ninpo). The game still has loads of minor flaws and annoyances, and there's some bad stuff from the original NG3 that just can't be fixed with completely remaking it. But the core Ninja Gaiden combat is still there with a different twist, and that's what matters the most to me.

I have no idea how people even finish the initial playthrough of Ultimate Ninja where you have barely any upgrades. Enemies just run circles around your limited moveset and your ninpo barely restore any health.

Yeah, having to slowly unlock everything can be a pain. Thankfully the Dragon Sword and void ninpo are super good, so I just stuck with them for most of my first run.

Hey, im starting my ultimate gameplay soon. I skipped hard and beat master ninja (hard as hell). But, what should i fully upgrade first in terms of weaponry.

I always focused on the Dragon Sword (or whatever the katana is called in this) since it's the most versatile weapon with a huge moveset and no weaknesses. Upgrading the scythe for 360+heavy attack abuse is another option.

Can you share the trick to jump + shuriken then flying swallow, i can do it in sigma 2 using jump + shuriken then 360 LS then strong attack, but it wont work on NG3RE

I just aim towards the enemy with the left analog stick. You might need to throw all of the shurikens first before it allows you to flying swallow though. Not sure about that.

Thank you. It can be really hard to stop enemies from interrupting you. I try to start with wide range attacks (360+Y), or short, fast, and powerful combos to weaken enemies. And I try to keep an eye out for grabs and heavy attacks (where they glow red) to counter it with the Cicada Surge. I still get hit a lot though. The enemy AI is aggressive and they have fast attacks, so it just can't be helped.

I think you have to load the 'base data' when starting a new game to carry everything over, after finishing it once first, of course. I don't really remember and it's a bit weird how it handles NG+, but it's in there anyway.

imo I’d still easily put Sigma 1 over Razors Edge. It’s worse than Black for sure but there’s still enough of the original in there that it’s a great game regardless. Razors Edge definitely succeeded at making 3 feel like a proper Ninja Gaiden game but the boss fights and level design still drag it down a lot. Sigma 2 is just bad though.

Hmm... this must be a new game+ playthrough. Because you don't get that much health at the start of the game, you also do not get the guillotine throw or wind path. Nice run as always, but the hardest part is beating it starting from scratch. NG had always been my favorite series. The third game is definitely the hardest of the 3.

It's better to just completely redo it I think, especially since I can record in 4K. I'm actually checking my older videos and trying to make sure I don't use the same weapons in most of the fights or costumes, so at least that will be a little different.

Combat is better than NG2. In NG2 all you do is spam OTs and UTs because of the barrage of projectiles and enemies die too quickly. Barely give you time to experiment with the moves list.

@@tahambanew lol thats not true except for master ninja. On the easier difficulties you can experiment combos and dont have to spam UTs. If you cant, youre just not good enough lol. Ng2's combat is far better

@@levidrawer The difference is you can do that in Master and Ultimate Ninja in Razors Edge. Mainly because the enemies have more health and there's no barrage of projectiles. I mean you can see it in this playthrough. It's Ultimate Ninja and he's using pretty much all the moves in the list for all weapons. No need to rely on UTs and OTs and I-frames all the time. As you said yourself you can't do that on MN in NG2 because it's badly designed/balanced. Not sure why you bring up lower difficulties because not only they don't matter but the enemies health is even lower. If you can't do it in RE then you're just not good enough.... RE's combat is FAR SUPERIOR. That's a fact.

not very agree with the video .. because it's seem using the pc version with Cheat .. simple you don't have all the weapons and ability when you do start the new game .. so the game is not so easy it's like to see... in fact i played all my live with the game with the PS4 version without any cheat.. and it's more and more harder...
