Great video as usual 👍🏻 the reason for an earlier than normal start to the beet harvest this season is the poor yields last season . A hot and dry summer in 2022 cut back root yields then the hard frosts in December really knocked back the sugar contents of the late lifted crops.Therefore British sugar were crying out for beet early this season

I know... this weekend just gone I saw peas, barley, wheat and sugar beet being harvested! 😳 After the heavy rain recently the crop was ready so they were on it! 🙂

Factories need a certain amount of crop to start up the machinery, test everything, etc. So this is quite normal.

I've never seen sugar beet being lifted in August in the UK, perhaps I've been looking in the wrong places!! 🤣👌
