Pirates of the Caribbean is a dark ride at Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Park in Paris, and currently under construction at Shanghai Disneyland Park
Can't wait to see how Shanghai Disneyland E-ticket attraction called Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure ride looks like when it opens next year.

Videos like this can be very important to me, my mom is unable to attend Disneyland her arthritis is so bad ,she can never go again. She can barely walk at all. We used to go to Disneyland as a family ,and she misses it do much.But this does help her to see the ride ,in good detail. We remember good family time's. Thank you so much!:-)

They didn't change it that much, did they? I thought all they did was add some characters from the movies and otherwise left the ride pretty much the same. I could be wrong.

Every time we went to Disneyland we always took our kids (we had 6 of them) to a meal at The Blue Bayou, the restaurant that opens out into Pirates. Now my kids are all grown up, my youngest is 21. My adult daughter and I went a few years ago and that was the last time we dined there. I heard it’s closing or is already closed. It’s the end of an era. I have such fond memories from our Disney traditions.

Best Pirates ride of them all. Hands down. you can't beat the waterfall ride back up at the end. Stunning!

I live in Orlando and work for Disney and am a MAJOR fan of the one we have here in Orlando. That being said, the original is FAR SUPERIOR in Disneyland in my opinion because it has Disney's personal touch (one of the last attractions he personally supervised), 2 drops, and for me, just has alot of cute details before and after the ride that just makes things come together. The ride is also a fair amount longer and has alot more details and things to look at during the experience.

One thing that is very different but nobody ever talks about is the town scene. Your MK version is great, but I can hardly hear what anyone is saying. In Disneyland, it's far enough apart where every piece feels like it fits

My favorite "non roller coaster" trill ride. So much in the way of storytelling and attention to detail. You MUST also enjoy lunch or dinner in the Blue Bayou Restaurant. As you ride through the first part of the ride, you can smell the Cajun cuisine the nearby guests are enjoying. Make reservations though.

It was our family tradition to go to the Blue Bayou every Disneyland trip. The kids (we had 6 of them) looked forward to that so much. My daughter and I went on a trip a few years ago, just the two of us, and she made sure we had our Blue Bayou meal.

My question is what kind of camera did you use to record this low light video. It looks amazing and you see a lot of the details that you really can't see with the naked eye when you were on the ride. I swear every time I go to the park it seems like the rides get dimmer and dimmer.

They've changed the boats a little bit. Some of the boats have these plastic handles with little indents in them so you can grip on to. But some of them still have the metal bars. I personally like the metal bars better.

So disappointing... The ride was much better in the 80's before they had the stupid Jack Sparrow movies. If it wasn't for those dumb Sparrow movies, we might have all of the Master and Commander movies from the books by now.

+Taylor Ward Yeah, I understand that they have to keep things relevant to each new generation going to see the rides, and the whole idea behind Disney is to immerse oneself into the movies. I suppose the problem that I really have is that where I grew up, I was one town over from where Blackbeard had a home. One of the colleges that I attended was involved in the conservation of the artifacts brought up from the Queen Anne's Revenge, and those artifacts were proudly displayed in a local maritime museum, so the whole area (almost by default) is well aware of the actual life of Blackbeard. I was actually offended at how wrong Disney portrayed Blackbeard (and pirating in general) with those Jack Sparrow movies. I wish they had done some actual research rather than go with what makes for "good fantasy."
