@@WalkingSpain Hi! Thanks for the beach tour. Enjoyed it. 🙂 I've been spending lots of time at the beach, maybe even too much time :) if that's possible. I watched the video last night, but was too tired to write, so here it is Monday morning. Wow, what a huge beach! It seems to go on forever. Santa Barbara has a similar beach along its harbor with a similar wall and walkway, but it's much smaller. I love the wall and walkway. It seems really well maintained. I noticed the buildings have those awnings on them. Is that an older architecture, maybe from the 60's? I noticed a similar style in one of the videos a little while back. At 8:09, let's see, does that mean no smoking on the beach? When I see no smoking signs in the US, it's 'no fumar' I think - on la playa! I remember in high school Spanish, la playa was easy to remember, because we 'play' at the beach. :) Wow, nice trolley to the beach at 20:04! So easy to get to the beach. Is there a city nearby that people travel to the beach from? And is this beach tourists from Europe, locals, or a mix? It seems like a 'locals' beach. At 32:44 I had to laugh because when I was a little kid, I had a toy just like that little kid had. :) And then at 34:40, what a happy guy! :) I think he was happy, he seemed to be hopping along! lol The last section of the beach at the end 37:04 was beautiful. And of course, a great place for the final shot. Cue the guitar! Take care.

@@bostonwalkdrive7763 Hi! Nice to read you again. I'm glad you enjoyed your beach vacation, as you say, I think it's never too much beach time 😄 I'm also glad you enjoyed this tour. Yes, you are right about this buildings. I don't know exactly when they were built but they are probably from the 60s or 70s, which was the time when tourism on this coast experienced a huge boom and thousands of apartment buildings were built in front of the beach. Some towns on the Costa Blanca are full of buildings of this style, in my opinion they are quite ugly. Generally, if you see large rectangular apartment blocks full of brightly colored awnings on their facades, they are from those decades 😄. Watching your videos of Cape Cod, I can see that they are completely different beaches, those beaches seem much more calm and relaxing and with really beautiful traditional architecture, I think it is more similar to the beaches of northern Spain. It's been a long time since I've visited this beach, I've seen that many things have changed 8:09 Yes, smoking is allowed on the beach, that notice just reminds anyone who smokes to pick up their butts and not leave them on the sand. The text says something like this: "It is possible that leaving your cigarette butts on the ground is comfortable for you... but it is not so much for Alicante". 😄 I wish I had used that learning method in my English, I would remember many more words. Playa de San Juan is very close to Alicante city, in fact I went from there by bicycle, it is a very pleasant trip. That's why it's a very popular beach, especially on weekends (I filmed on a Tuesday so it was pretty quiet) many people travel from Alicante by tram there to spend a day at the beach. It is mostly visited by locals or Spanish tourists who bought apartments decades ago, there are also some foreign tourists but not as many as in Benidorm, Altea or Calpe... That toy never goes out of style 😄, I also had a similar one. 😂 I imagine he was exercising or maybe dancing gangnam style 🕺😁 The last section is really quiet, continuing along that way would have left this town and a short distance would have entered the next beach town (Campello) Thank you for your visit.
