Man did they do a good job with this map. Even the subtle transitions to different biomes was perfect. I still haven't seen any game made in UE5 that looks this good.

The only thing that naffed me off with this game is the super fast weather changes and crazy super fast day/night cycle...I went into a barbers at mid day, got my hair cut and a beard trim, when i left it was night time! Then you can be walking around admiring some amazing sunset, then after 10 mins of so, a cloud suddenly looms over and its pissing down and windy as hell! The weather engine is great, its just cycling too fast, and the day night cycle is far too quick and cant be altered.

There is a glitch to stop the rain. Set up camp then press craft/cook, the rain will immediately stop

Yeah , lots of games doing this lately! From what I read on Reddit a couple days ago, they say it's mostly due to Console users...They cannot use mods (And most of the time, cannot use Dev commands) So games have to switch up the day/night/weather cycles extremely quickly. It's jarring to say the least but understandable I guess.

Dunno, Maybe it's just me, but I just compared this side by side with the base game on the highest settings and they really don't look all that different. This game is already damn near photo realistic in most places.

Yeah, just slight improvements are enough for RDR2. The biggest one for me is the ground texture overhaul mod that makes the terrain so much better. I would love to see mod that improves all the other textures too. I also like that there is much more water on the ground now when its raining because of the Collyrium weather mod.

YES! They always look STRAIGHT AHEAD, like their necks won't work. And if they pass another person, they don't acknowledge or even greet each other. No "howdy," no head nod. Nada. If they ran into each other, they'd probably not say a word, just regroup, and keep on going.

First of all, love the videos. They really help me study for my exams!! I also have a suggestion for a possible future video: John retraces the steps of the gang, He starts by going to Blackwater, then up to Colter, followed by Valentine and horseshoe Overlook (maybe passing the old mining place where Colm was hiding). After that to Clemens point and Rhodes (and possibly the manors of both plantations). Then Shady Belle, round Saint Denis to Lagras and so on. Again love the work you put in all these videos!!!

Damn, look how far the gaming industry has come, from the Sega and Atari era to THIS. Just think about that for a sec. If we could travel back in time with our new tech and games in the backpack, and show this game running on an Xbox Series and a 65" 4k OLED TV ppl would lose their minds and think that must be some wicked sorcery. The progress from then to now is really insane, and happened rather quickly. We've definitely reached peak graphical performance already. Now it's all about FPS, Ray tracing and resolution. But nothing revolutionary is to be expected anymore. We've seen it all apparently. Which is kinda sad if you ask me...

VR still has a long way to go IMO. Games could still be enhanced with full immersion suits and smells going forward. Or imagine a system that taps directly into your brain for full immersion.

I still think a hologram type of system would be cool. I guess it would be kind of like VR. I’m not sure how VR is now, I tried it years ago and did not like it. Gave me motion sickness bad.. I wonder if they could start with some retro video game in hologram form. I guess it would have to be done by some sort of projector type system. That would be cool 😎
