This was a test for me and it proved that time has not changed things. We set up a really nice, larger aquarium in our apartment living room for my son when he was 8 years old when we chose to sell our house and simplify to apartment life while I was in graduate school. It had the oxygenator that pulled water from the tank and poured it back in from the side like a waterfall - nonstop, 24 hrs a day. After 4 years of that never-ending sound of running water I felt like the character in Edgar Allan Poe's "The Telltale Heart" or Jack Nicholson in The Shining. There was nowhere in that 3 bedroom apartment you could go to escape the sound. I remember having to control myself from hysterical laughter at the joy of shutting the tank down and selling the whole setup at a garage sale when the last fish finally passed away (my son didn't want to start over with new ones). To this day the sound of running water causes my blood pressure and anxiety level to rise and I am filled with an insuppressible urge for it to stop as soon as possible. Thank you for your incredibly disturbing and unsettling torture video - I hope you're happy!! Lol
