exactlly, and its not even the peak season 😅

​​@@TOURATHOMETVsome areas junctions weren' t designed as they probably should have, plus most of the traffic is made by tourists who may have never been there before and struggle sometimes to drive correctly. Peak season could be a nightmare, mostly in the morning and early afternoon I recall( as the evening approach, you may not have much left to do there, if you don' t have an hotel reservation near by), and particularly when other roads join the lake loop one( north and south shores of the lake, no surprise you had to queue around Riva del Garda)

you are exactly right, it really is a nightmare driving around the coastal road during the peak season. its traffic everywhere, queing traffic from town to town (awful) . and its actually a mix of new and seasonal visitors around lake garda.
