[4K] Seoul Walk - Myeong-dong Street Weekend Afternoon Scenery, Inside of Myeong-dong Cathedral.

Hello, My friends.
I am 'Seoul 4K Walker' who share healing videos with you.
Today, on a weekend afternoon, we walk through Myeong-dong, the center of Seoul.
The Myeongdong commercial district is dead, please see for yourself and judge for yourself.
Starting at the fountain in front of Shinsegae Department Store, it starts in front of the Currency Museum.
Go past and cross the underpass. Stroll along Myeong-dong Street and turn around the road to see Samil-ro Warehouse Theater,
Go down the hill to the Catholic Church. Take a tour of Myeongdong Cathedral.
Luckily, it was the day Myeongdong Cathedral was open.
Let me show you the inside for a moment.
The walking tour ends with the last starting point in front of the Lotte Department Store.

The Cathedral Church of Virgin Mary of the Immaculate Conception (Latin: Ecclesia Cathedralis Nostrae Dominae de Immaculatae Conceptionis; Korean: 천주교 서울대교구 주교좌 명동대성당; RR: Cheonjugyo Seoul-daegyogu Jugyo-jwa Myeongdong-daeseongdang), informally known as Myeongdong Cathedral, is the national cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Seoul. Located in the Myeongdong neighborhood of Jung-gu, Seoul, South Korea, it is the seat of the Archbishop of Seoul Cardinal Andrew Yeom Soo-jung, the highest Roman Catholic prelate of the nation.
It is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Immaculate Conception is the principal Patroness of Korea by a Pontifical decree accorded by Pope Gregory XVI in 1841. The cathedral serves as a community landmark, tourist attraction, and a notable symbol of Roman Catholicism in Korea. The Korean government assigned the cathedral as a historic site (No. # 258) on 22 November 1977, making it a cultural property and asset of the country.

저기가는사람들 이해가안됨 땅값비싸다고 갑질해대고 바가지씌우고 외국인들한테는 사기나쳐대는동네가 뭐가좋다고 찾아가는지모르겠음 바로옆에 종로쪽이나 을지로랑 심지어 강남쪽도 전체적으로 물가는비싸긴하지만 말도안되는 갑질이랑 바가지는 별로없는데 명동만저럼

When I am in Seoul, I go to Myeongdong almost every day, just for a walk. There was always so many people to meet, great food to eat and a lot of stands... In this video it looks so empty. It makes me kinda sad...

This area is so busy yet at the same time looks very calming to be in, i would love to browse the shops and try all cafes. 😀 really though, everything looks like it's back to normal and it's great!

Its actually very empty that I find it odd.. this place is usually filled in the brim with tourists .. right now it seems as its only Koreans that have myeongdong to themselves with a nice break from the tourists.

최근 명동을 다녀왔는데 영상에서도 보듯 해외관광객이 없다보니 임대료 못버티고 폐점한 업체들이 꽤 보이지만 그래도 대형 프렌차이즈 중심으로 국내 거주 외국인과 내국인 중심으로 주말은 꽤 많은 인파를 볼 수 있네요. 다만 코로나로 인한 영향은 메인스트리트 보단 안쪽 골목 가계들이 꽤 영향이 큰것 같아 보였어요 식사했던 식당 업주분과 이야기 해봤는데 그래도 최근에는 어느정도 회복되고 있다고 하시더라구요. 하지만 기본적으로 외국인 관광객을 대상으로한 업종이 성행하던 지역이라 완전한 회복은 코로나 종식때까진 힘들껄로 보입니다.
