The name of Mangwon-dong comes from Mangwonjeong Pavilion, a pavilion during the Joseon Dynasty. Mangwon-dong was one of the habitually flooded areas of the Seoul Metropolitan Government until the early 1990s as it is adjacent to the Han River. As the area is relatively underdeveloped, Mangwon-dong has many old houses compared to nearby Hapjeong-dong and Sangam-dong. It is also famous for Mangridan-gil and Mangwon Market. I walked through the alleys of residential areas in Mangwon-dong on a rainy morning. Thank you for watching the video.
