In this episode I went to Rotterdam to film my largest bulk carrier, the SM GEMINI1. It is 340 x 62 m. So I set off the evening before and the ship was supposed to arrive at 12:30 pm the following day. The next morning I discovered that the ship was scheduled to arrive late at 5:30 pm but I thought I was lucky, it won't be dark yet and the sun is shining. But from 3 pm it became very windy and fog rolled in. Fog is the biggest enemy when filming ships. Unfortunately, a clear frontal view was not possible but still a very impressive ship.

I made 2 mistakes in the video, at 17:35 the SM GEMINI 1 is 62m wide and at 24:00 the NAVIOS DOMINO is a container ship and flag is Liberia

The SM GEMINI 1 appearing from the fog was impressive. It's also very interesting when you zoom into details like tugs assisting the vessels, with tugs' line, seafarers at their mooring stations etc. Excellent video as usual, despite difficult weather for filming.

Wow, i see why you would want to capture this one on film, what a monster!! It looked like some sort of giant ghost ship sliding through the mist and fog. Do you know what it's cargo was? Whatever it carried, there was a hell of a lot of it, must have taken a while to load / unload. Thanks for catching this one.
