4K Skywatching Podcast: Episode #10. Tech Lesson Installing Radar to Track UFOs
I know I said on a previous episode that I'm done collecting gear and maxed out. However...
On this episode I'll start my dive into using installing radar to track UFOs. The plan is to use doppler and X band radar to monitor the area where I'm skywatching. Having the ability to even detect birds will pair nicely with the 3 thermal cameras.
Friday I'll be testing the gear live and getting my feet wet using it. I picked out a display for the radar that has HDMI output. This allows me to add this into my skywatch network and broadcast the radar display live along with all of the other cameras and sensors I use.

TJB I can help you with slipring. I did a run of 100 slip rings and importend them from China about 13 years ago.
