Great fly! Have you ever dropped your camera due to extreme hard landing?

No, believe it or not. So I always hold the camera with my thumb completely under the camera. Like you'd normally hold your phone, but sideways. So, unless the landing was so hard that it broke my thumb... It would be very hard to drop it.

This is my home town airport Usally now they operate that flight the the southwest 737 max 8 So i would think thats pretty rare.

It definitely is now. At the beginning of WN operations it was all they used to and from the islands. Mainly because of the Max grounding. Now though, you're right, it's pretty rare to see an 800 out there. Thanks for watching!

Nope, they’ve got a decent amount of ETOPS 737-800 too.

It's really just 737 max 8 of southeest in Hawaii they dont use 737 800s that much anymore but this was filmed a year ago and back then southwest still had SOME 737 800s flying in the islands but now almost all are Max 8s

@@nasheetaicecreamfan Yeah- they have way more Max -8s going to hawaii than 800s. Makes more sense to use the more efficient airplane on those long flights.

Yes, but it's pretty rare at this point. They never planned to fly the 800 to Hawaii, but the Max groundings kind of forced their hand. So they have a pretty good chunk of 800's that are ETOPS rated, and you do still see them in Hawaii on occasion, but it's pretty rare at this point. I saw one the last time I was in Hawaii over the 3 or 4 days I was flying.

Hi bryce, have you heard the news that there are so many people died on fire in HNL?

Not quite. There was a large fire on Maui, which would be the island with OGG, not HNL. The fire was on the resort side of the island, and it consumed the city of Lahaina. Unfortunately, it did indeed kill a lot of people as there was very little warning and the entire city was consumed by flames.
