@FishFray4 жыл бұрын
Cured shrimp is just cooked shrimp cured in pautzke borxofire. The rods are skein canes from blood run tackle, 13ft centerpin rods. The reels are centerpin reels from Colville Precision Reels

I've gone to the betsie the last 2 yrs at laborday and tried to replicate what I've seen you do. Had a few on but havent landed one yet. Learned a ton of good lessons. I think this is going to be the year. If you had to pick 2 weeks of the season to fish for kings to try to land one when would you go and what would be your setup? I'd also love to know of a better spot than homestead dam. It's been the only place weve seen fish but I'd love to find somewhere that isnt packed. Doesnt have to be the betsie. Any suggestions as to where to find less crowded fishable waters?

its more about the time you go I recommend you go for salmon the very end of august to november steelhead aka rainbow trout november to may best bait I recommend is brown trout eggs or whatever eggs you can get (has to be either salmon or trout eggs) you can also use yarn, jigs, spoons, and beads but roe is number 1

is this in michigan? from what i know, the state stopped stocking skammy's, so eventually the angular pressure will eventually wipe out the summer population over time.
@qsggaming38044 жыл бұрын
It is indeed Michigan but the skammy population isn't going anywhere. Just cause the state doesn't stock fish anymore doesn't mean the population is going to get whipped out over time. They only stock in places where the population is not good and there's super high/aggressive fishing activities. We have a great skammy population. I live in Michigan and am an avid steelhead fisherman who talks to the dnr often about our fish populations.
@FishFray4 жыл бұрын
Michigan still stocks a few skams I think , not many though

I think it is not allowed to fish at night on Trail Creek, that what it says at the parking lot. People leave a lot of trash, drink alcohol, smoke weed while having a concealed carry, make a fire even after landlord of that private property gives them permission to fish there. Funny part, most of the time it's a locals that always ask others about permission to fish there pretending like it is their own land, violating the law at the same time by go over catch limit.
