As a fan, I doubt they’ll ever come. They’re not popular to pull a full tour. Plus they all have families, so I doubt they’ll want to commit as well.

@@thisivi3 well when steps started out they came to the u.s. to tour with britney and over the years in interviews they have mentioned comeng to the us. i dont expect a full tour and it would surprise me if they did alot of shows here but at least play a few of the bigger cities. will see

@@genewebb2837 when they first started, they were under the same label as Britney, Jive records, so naturally they would be a supporting act. I think any international artist would love to tour the US, as they would solidify them as an international act. Look at Kylie for example, who has a more global presence and has barely toured the US. Even if it's a handful of shows, the cost would not offset the benefit, even if they really wanted to. Kylie even mentioned her playing the US was a loss in revenue for her. We're lucky to at least see videos on KZbin. Would've loved to see the Christmas with STEPS show.

@@thisivi3 i knew steps was on the same label. now they are distributed through bmg . i think steps makes a ton of money from their uk tours etc so i wouldnt think it would be a total loss to do a few shows here. and gained more fans. and it is great we get to see them on YT. like i said will know if any dates show up here next year. one can hope.

Kylie is bigger than Steps worldwide BUT having said that America is bigger so I can understand Kylie saying that. @gene webb I don't think Steps will be able to tour america and Im not saying that to be nasty or anything, but it is just that the arena's in America is BIGGER than the arenas in the uk I think the arena's in uk are like around 10k-20k seating (depending on the arena etc) and unless I am wrong the arenas in america are like alot more than that. I remember someone in Steps saying years ago (dunno who) when they were the support act for Britney years ago, they never even "met/bumped" into Britney or any of her people aka entourage because the arena was that big that even backstage the acts barely bumped into each other. I would love Steps to break america and have global dominance but I personally do not think that would happen anytime soon. I think there are a few british/irish acts like One directions. B Witched, spice girls who have made it big in america but it came at such a cost that they had mental breakdowns/sacrificed their home fans and families that they end up splitting up. For steps to make it they need to have enough fans in america to cover the cost of the stage hands and touring and arena costs to do atour in america.
