Binondo Church is a Roman Catholic church in the capital of Philippines. It is located in the Binondo District in Manila's Chinese quarter. This church was founded by Dominican priests in 1596 for the Chinese population converted to Christianity. In 1762 British bombardment destroyed the original building. The rebuilt church was damaged again during the Second World War and only small part of the building survived. It was rebuilt again in 1950s. The main altar of the church is modeled after the facade of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.
