4k Time Lapse of Dallas Texas Winter Storm Feb 2021 - Power Outage

This is 4k Time Lapse of the first two waves of the storm that hit North Texas on Feb 13th 2021.
A couple things to watch is the heavy snow in the middle of the clip and watch how quickly the icicle grows on the waterfall - This is a Salt pool with the heater on 40 Degrees.
Finally the clip ends with the start of the major power outages. You can see the street lamp go out, I freeze framed the last frame the camera caught.

2021 years ago today I got to go back home 🏠 with the baby girl 👧 I love ❤️ I can’t even get a good 😊 hug 🫂 and hug 🫂 for my girl 🧒 I can’t believe I didn’t know that she died and my little one 1️⃣ month old girl 👧 died so sad 😭 she 2:43 days after she passed the point and she still alive I miss my girl 👧 and my heart ♥️ hurts for 2:47 days of crying 😭 she just passed the time but my little one ☝️ she still loved 🥰 you forever ♾️ my heart ♥️ and 2:54 months is my life forever ♾️ my baby and forever ♾️ I can’t 2:58

Why didn't ya winterise the pool/drain the water? Even in a not crazy Texas winter its too cold to swim between late October til mid May anyway lol

Nobody winterizes the pools or sprinklers in North Texas only once in about 50 years does it get cold enough in the ground to freeze things up. I grew up in Kansas and we did for sure

@@NewtTech The thing is TX still gets fairly cold. Freezes happen evrry year though usually not THIS severe. I would still winterise it if I was in Texas with a pool. I wouldnt say "once in 50 years." In the last decade alone it got pretty cold. 2011 and 2015 come to mind. The '80s wasnt even 50 years ago and it got super cold then too.

@@BadgerCheese94 we have lived here for 13 years and this is the only time it got cold enough to impact the pool at all. Even this time it would have been fine if the power hadn't gone off and killed the auto freeze protection. We did heat the pool up which largely saved us. In fact we swam on Christmas day several times over the years.

It needs to get into the teens and stay there for 48 hours to impact the pool lines since they are under ground. It did kill a ton of pools this time around if you lost power

Thanks yeah the hose looks buckled and the backup valve isn’t working right it looks like

Did your home and pool make it through ok?

We lost two pipes one on the cleaner on the pool pump and one on a hose bib. We heated the pool to 40 degrees it save it most of the people in the neighborhood lost all their pool equipment

I'm so glad for you! We, on the other side of 114 mostly had an easy ride but I've heard the same apartments had pipes bursts. I'm so proud of our community for coming together during that unprecedented weather event!
