Thank you for your comment. Enjoy Japan. The West Exit area of Shinjuku is undergoing major redevelopment, so the passageways are confusing. Please be careful.
Do you have to pay each time you pass the ticket barrier going from gate to gate?

Good question. Basically, you are charged each time you go through the gate. However, within the Tokyo metropolitan area, there is a JR discount ticket that allows you to pass through the ticket gates as many times as you like. It is called the ”TOKUNAI PASS/都区内パス”.

I want to learn this station well. Because I will be here next month. But when I looked for the captions, there is no English. 😭😭😭

I'm sorry! I will make English subtitles from now on. Please wait a moment.😀
How to reach the Oedo line of Toei Subway? Which gate should I take?

Thanks for watching. To get to the Oedo line, go out the JR south exit ticket gate and go to the right. From there you can go underground to the Oedo line platform. JR south ticket gate is 10:40 in my video.

@@TOKYOChalliWalk thanks for this valuable info. Shinjuku station is quite something!!

This means if I come from outside, I have to enter Shinjuku station through South Gate and walk left (same direction as Odakyu line/Keio line).

Yes, it is. And now the west exit of Shinjuku is under redevelopment and has become very complicated. Japanese people are also very confused at the West Exit now. So please use the south exit.
