Tokyo's infrastructure gives a vibe of future world

I lived near here, and worked just a building or two away from where this was shot over a decade ago. In a few shots I could see my old office window. Waves of nostalgia. Thanks for posting this.

Today's video was great. A _lot_ of local ambient sound that you _need_ headphones to really hear where it's coming from. I enjoyed seeing some areas around Tachikawa Station that you'd visited back in 2018, and also some areas that you hadn't back then. A mix like that keeps the viewing fresh and enjoyable, as folks are looking to see what they remember from the past visit, and what places are new. :) The unusual thing about Tachikawa is how extensive and connected its pedestrian overpass walkways are around the station and malls. Even Shinjuku and Shibuya aren't as comprehensive.

Love your videos! A technical question: could you please share your full workflow for getting videos out of the Osmo Pocket, joining them together (in case they’re split on the SD card) and exporting them in a high-quality format for KZbin? Which tool do you use and what’s the bitrate (mbps) of the final video?
@TokyoExplorer4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It's pretty straightforward. I use Davinci Resolve to merge the clips and replace the audio with the one from the mic. Then I export as a H.264 MP4 in 80mbps bitrate and upload to KZbin.

Man it's depressing not being able to see actual faces. That aside, Japan really is picture worthy be it in the urban or rural setting.

I love how clean Japan street are, unlike other place in US, there are like trash everywhere. People doesn’t know how to throw them into the trash can.

The fact that most of the video was filmed on upper levels and not street level was somewhat confusing at times. Really could not get my bearings straight for most of the time. This station area layout is worse than that of Shinjuku central station. The highrise buildings, not being on the ground floor with the small walkways gave a great confusing cyberpunk/futuristic vibe.
