Nice, I also remember riding the Dolderbahn as a kid when it was still a funicular. It was lengthened and track converted to rack & pinion.

@@TrainJJ I see from other KZbin videos that the conversion and lengthening of the track took place in 1972. There's a cable wheel on display at the base station.

Mooie clip Joachim. Paar keer in Zürich geweest en nooit van het bestaan geweten van dit zeer goed onderhouden baantje! En dat terwijl 2 vrienden redelijk kort in de buurt wonen. Zet hem op het wensenlijstje om dat eens te doen ALS .......

Dankje Henk. Ja, leuk lijntje hé. Had het bij toeval eens ergens gezien. Wist alleen niet precies waar deze zat. Had middag op station in Zurich en bedacht mij dit lijntje ineens. Bleek op 5 minuten lopen van Zurich Hb. Was de moeite waard. Zit op 8 minuten met de tram ook nog een lijntje naar de Dolder Grand Hotel, de Dolderbahn. Moet ook leuk zijn... Weer een reden om nog eens terug te gaan. Groet, Joachim
