【北海道古平町：恵比須神社例大祭】2023年9月9日・10日
古平町にある恵比須神社の例大祭が行われました。
秋祭りは古平町の東側、浜町のお祭りで、天狗（猿田彦）が紅い衣に高下駄で町を浄化しながら練り歩きます。
あたりが暗くなった頃、人々が見守る中を恵比須神社境内にたどり着くと、高さ3mにも達する篝火の中を火の粉を巻き上げながら悠然と歩き豊漁と豊作、人々の安全を祈り清めます。
天狗が悠々と炎の中を歩く姿は、恐ろしく美しい神秘的かつ幻想的な神事です。
古平町にはもう一つ、琴平神社があり夏の例大祭ではやはり天狗が火渡りを行います。
そもそも恵比須神社は、江戸時代末期の1847年に創建され、1897年からは琴平神社の西宮と位置付けられています。

The annual grand festival of Ebisu Shrine in Furubira-cho was held on September 9 and 10, 2023.
The Autumn Festival is held in Hamacho, on the east side of Furubira Town, where a Tengu(Sarutahiko) parades through the town in a red robe and high clogs, purifying the town.
When it gets dark, the Tengu(Sarutahiko) walks through the bonfire, which is up to three meters high, to Ebisu Shrine, where people look on in awe, and pray for a good catch, a good harvest, and safety.
The sight of the Tengu walking leisurely through the flames is a mysterious and fantastic ritual that is both frighteningly beautiful and magical.
In Furubira Town, there is another shrine, Kotohira Shrine, where a Tengu walks through the flames during the summer festival.
Ebisu Shrine was founded in 1847 at the end of the Edo period (1603-1867), and since 1897 it has been regarded as the western shrine of Kotohira Shrine.

素晴らしい編集と解説文、英文まであり、古平町の観光に役立つでしょう。 残念ながら、恵比寿の漢字変換が・・・。正確には、恵比須神社です（私も変換ミスをよくします）。 近くの橋（派出所の前方にある小さな川の橋）の名前が恵比寿橋です。
