I was born and raised in Coventry. Our history makes us locals so proud to be where we are from. The first and Second World War, car manufacturing (JLR), music, you name it.

I remember reading a story that the British government knew that the German airforce were coming to bomb Coventry but if they had stopped them then it would have revealed that we had broken the enigma code so they allowed us to be bombed. (Born and raised in Cov as well) I remember visiting the transport museum as a kid and being terrified in the air raid shelter when the siren was going off 🤣

Loved the concrete - any chance of any more. Loved the silence of the people as well. It was like the camera was sighing with boredom. Not even one sound of a bird - any bird. These Greeney town planners sure hate greenery don't they. You could play this with mute on and not tell the difference.

Coventry was bombed heavily in the second world war and the city planners made a pig's ear of rebuilding. They're quite rightly pulling down some of the 1960s architecture now.

A whole lot of construction going on every street corner. I suppose the only sacrosanct buildings are the council house and the bombed out cathedral. No greenery whatsoever!

Try the countryside for 'greenery', city centres tend to be the complete opposite. Hope this helps.
