Je suis né à Montpellier, j' y ai fait toutes mes études et y ai vécu presque 30 ans... La ville et sa région - EXCEPTIONNELLE en raison de sa beauté (beautés naturelles et villages médiévaux préservés) et de son incroyable diversité de paysages (l'arrière pays !) me manquent beaucoup. J'y suis retourné y faire un séjour l'été dernier. J'ai été stupéfait par sa propreté ! Quand j'y ai vécu, Montpellier était, comme beaucoup de villes méditerranéennes, d'une propreté... approximative. Un remarquable effort de valorisation (ravalement des immeubles, nettoyage des rues, restauration des monuments, chasse aux graffitis sauvages) a été effectué et ma ville chérie m'est alors apparue encore plus belle que dans mes souvenirs ! J'ai en particulier été ébloui, un soir vers 19h30, par la vue, depuis l'entrée de la Place du Peyrou, donnant sur l'Arc de Triomphe et le Coeur de ville, puis du Château d'Eau vers le somptueux décor du paysage environnant. J'ai eu le souffle coupé. La lumière de ce magnifique début de soirée magnifiait les couleurs des vieilles pierres et j'ai réalisé que j'avais sous les yeux l'un des plus beaux paysages urbains du monde. J'ai été subjugué par ce spectacle qui irradiait littéralement de beauté. Je parais peut-être ridicule : je suis rarement grandiloquent, mais j'ai vraiment ressenti une émotion, sans doute amplifiée par les souvenirs et le côté affectif...
