4K walking tour through the downtown Dartford, Kent.
Dartford is the principal town in the Borough of Dartford, Kent, England. It is located 18 miles (29 kilometres) south-east of Central London and is situated adjacent to the London Borough of Bexley to its west. To its north, across the Thames estuary, is Thurrock in Essex, which can be reached via the Dartford Crossing.
The town centre lies in a valley through which the River Darent flows and where the old road from London to Dover crossed: hence the name, from Darent + ford. Dartford became a market town in medieval times and, although today it is principally a commuter town for Greater London, it has a long history of religious, industrial and cultural importance. It is an important rail hub; the main through-road now by-passes the town itself.

I was born in London but moved to Dartford and grew up there from the age of 8. I spent the majority of my life there and never realised how lucky I was to know this place and the people until I moved away.

Loved this video of Dartford High Street but how comes you didn't walk through Dartford Park-you could of also walked through the other side of it when ou walked up past the other Fast Track bus stops! Also next time you go to Dartford, do some other parts of the borough like in Greenhithe: edit seen you been parts of it like to Bluewater Shopping Centre), also other parts of Dartford you could film like: Temple Hill, Wilmington, Joydens Wood which is parts of both parts of Kent in Dartford/Bexley! etc

Nice video thanks. I spent about three or so happy years there in the 90's and I lived in St Alban's Road at the top of East Hill where the laundry still is. Lots still there that I remember, but what happened to the bus stops and car park opposite the Library where Iceland had an entrance? I had two very good friends, Gary and Janice, who had the sub post office, just down East Hill where the red post box still stands, but looks like the shop is now a barbers. Would love to know what happened to them after they left there 😒😒

Or hard theatre ..oops ..! I could tell the C was meant to be there. But obviously the character key wasn't pressed hard enough I miss Dartford .I live in Blackpool now for past 10 years..but my first 48 years was Dartford ..so much has changed in the ten years I've been away . But at least I'm visiting earlier December 2022 I can see for myself .. Thank you ..the pavements look great by the way . So what has happened to Iceland car park? Can cars no longer park there?.💐
