Cheonggye Square
The name was confirmed by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in March 2005 when the Cheonggyecheon Restoration Project took place, pointing to the plaza in front of the Dong-A Ilbo, Sejongno. As a space for entering Cheonggyecheon, a candle fountain with three colors, and a two-stage waterfall, which falls four meters below the stream, were installed. Palseokdam was a stone symbolizing the eight degrees of virtue on either side of the second stage of the waterfall, and lights and water were mixed to create a beautiful landscape. There are also miniatures of the entire Cheonggyecheon area, and the Cheonggye Stream Culture Festival will be held every weekend from April to November.
