My friend who lives in Orlando has just let me know that she has water coming in through her windows not due to flooding but just due to the amount of rain that's pounding down right now and she also has a leak in her roof that's coming through the ceiling and she has just now lost power. I have to be honest even though it's a hurricane and the storms can be pretty scary it really is quite beautiful the atmosphere I mean the dark clouds the sound of rain dropping and the view of the Lagoon in the hotels it just takes your breath away as long as you're indoors and safe you can just enjoy the atmosphere and Hope things will be good

I actually fell asleep listening to the wind during this hurricane. lol Just got power Friday evening in Davenport. I feel for the folks in southwest Fl and the other areas that got hit really bad.

currently staying at Art of Animation not too far from Riviera, the rain has finally calmed down a bit and it looks like the parks might open tomorrow assuming cleanup goes without a hitch. weve been told to shelter in place at least until it clears up. bummed that the storm came but still looking forward to making the most of it when it all reopens 😌

I disagree with Aruba , Martinique is the best spot as it’s closest to old port royal, your first on the buses and it’s a 5 minute wkmalk to the Rivera skyliner where’s there’s usually no one in line!

Neighborhoods in East Orlando were hit with more than 14" of rain before Hurricane Ian finally moved north and east towards the Atlantic Ocean. Pictures of flooded apartment parking lots with people's cars almost completely submerged were heart breaking

💦Just wow! Nice positions to show the bands of rain & how it deteriorated. Ya have to tell us how the hotel fared during the night. Any flooding, broken windows or loss power? (are they on generators?) Can't believe you got caught at CB when it got bad 🤪. And why were the lifeguards forced to be guarding a pool that should have been closed? Ahh, the questions. AT least your room was high enough to see that TOT even looks good in a hurricane lol. Well, this makes up for last yr.'s lack of rain videos for sure....hang in there. 💜

The riviera barely had any damage! Caribbean beach got a little banged up, but nothing bad thankfully. I’ll have a video of that in the morning! Yes, that view from the room was literally perfect for me. I could see my 2 favorite places at WDW, the Studios and Caribbean Beach! Thank you so much Liz😊

No, they filled them with people. Most notably, everyone at Fort Wilderness campground have been moved indoors. All the campers and trailers are in the main parking lot for Magic Kingdom. Apparently they also cleared out the tree-house suites at Saratoga Springs--Don't know why; those are really solid and have their own kitchens.

@@auraballoon Wierdly, yes. I was at the Boy Scout Jamboree at Fort AP Hill, Virginia when we got hit by a mild one that tracked up the coast--still broke inch-thick wood tent pegs like matchsticks. We all were moved indoors for the night--not a friendly environment in a tent.
