So happy seeing all these recordings for an attraction that is soon to be “extinct.” These will be so valuable in helping to keep view of an attraction that so many hold fond in their memories. Ah, 4K, if only you’d been around (with the technology) to capture long gone attractions like (selfishly), Horizons, original Journey Into Imagination (still miss The Dreamfinder!!), original Universe of Energy….The different itterated changes in The Haunted Mansion, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride…and so many others. BUT we know we will have these videos to hold Splash Mountain in our memories and heart.

It’s truly my pleasure Rick. I’m still not mentally prepared for Splash to be gone for good, so I’m just filming as much as I possibly can in every scenario. Does anyone remember what the ride was that was in Epcot in the late eighties, and nineties where it looked like you (the ride goers) were shrinking into a needle? It was of the same era when the Tomorrow's child was the ride in Spaceship Earth. I loved both of them so much and was always sad that they were not there anymore. For tomorrow's child, the little boy selling newspapers on the street yelling "extra, extra!"

P.s., I've never been on splash mountain and from the looks of this video, I definitely missed out, I would have LOVED to see this ride in person. Thank you SO SO much for allowing us to see it over and over, whenever we would like. High five!

I grew up in the ‘50’s with my mother reading these stories to me, the Uncle Remus stories with the animals adventures are in my heart. My husbands license plate was ZPDDODA, it brought smiles to other drivers, he passed away 6 years ago and my plate now says ZPDDDA. This video showed how fun the ride was.

I sure hate watching the last few days of Splash Mt especially knowing I won't be able to experience it one last time. I'm sure the line will be very long up to the final day. On a brighter thought. At least 4K will honor Splash Mt with great videos.....as usual.

I was just there and happy I got a chance to ride it one last time. Unfortunately, half the animatronics were not working and none of the water features were turned on. This was my favourite ride as a kid and I'm sad to see it go, but Disney tried to leave a bad taste in your mouth from this ride with everything broken and nothing working. At this point it would be better for them to revamp the entire ride. The experience was not the same as when I was a kid. Sad to see it go.

Always a fun attraction but excited to see the changes. Hopefully with the new management some of the changes originally proposed are implemented. Like Mama Odie's treehouse with the fireflies atop the mountain. That would look great at night. Tfs 4K.

This ride is super cool, but not being born when all those characters were popular, the ride just kind of made me lost. The only way I could really understand it was If my mom or dad explained it to me in the waiting line. 😂 But, even then I still didn’t really get it. It’s a cool ride, just can wait to see the updated Princess And The Frog ride. Great videos by the way!! 😊

I rode it in December and felt like there was something missing. I think there used to be loud buzzing of bees overhead afte the one drop and I didn't hear it when we rode and I don't think it happens in your video either. The bees would rotate around the bee hives. It must be one of the things that they said broke and they didn't fix. Does anyone else remember this?

Because the ride is located in Frontierland maybe better the ride should be re-themed to something else rather than Tiana/Princess and the Frog but retaining Song of the South OSTs in homage to the former theme and the theming in my head is a brand new story where the main protagonist is a girl named Aryati who likes cooking like Tiana does and is a big fan of Splash Mountain in Tokyo Disneyland and a cowboy dressed man named Mr. Daus whose hobby is singing and playing his banjo and making country music festivals throughout Arizona and would hike on Phoenix's Piestewa Peak until the top with his friend, the guitar playing gaucho named Mazukri. Then the sceneries inside the mountain cave are replaced by Piestewa Peak's trails. Before the How Do You Do scene, the first lift which is a western style house, has interior containing food ingredients for cooking and the sign reads "Aryati's Foods" replacing "Tiana's Foods". Then the How Do You Do scene after the first drop inside the burrow shows Aryati's trails through the swamps to her laughing yoga class occupied by critters where "Evreybody Has a Laughing Place" plays to fit the laughing yoga scene. Then after the ride's second drop which is the beehives scene, here Aryati smells her uncle collecting honey from the beehives to be distributed to Arizona and the New Mexico, then the third short drop leads guests to the laughing yoga class full of critters where Aryati and the banjo man Mr. Daus join the yoga class then the ominous scene where "Burrow's Lament" plays before the final drop is replaced by Aryati and that banjo man Mr. Daus is informed by a band of crows that that the mountain is going to explode as a super volcano which would destroy the whole location and a mega tsunami occurs outside, frightening Aryati and the banjo man Daus and then Aryati who fidgeting in fear together with the banjo man Daus and the guitar gaucho Mazukri see a UFO flying then finally they that UFO (represented by the area where the ride's final drop take place) before the peak is demolished into pieces due to Piestewa Peak being a supervolcano, then escaping with that UFO, the UFO lands at the Grand Canyon as Aryati, the banjo man, and the gaucho guitar man escape from the Piestewa Peak summit safely leaving the supervolcano and terrible mega tsunami (represented at the ex-Briar Patch part), and then going to the Grand Canyon cave (represented by the final cave for the ride's finale to the Zip-a-Dee-Lady) and celebrated by Aryati's siblings Maryati , Karyati, Gayatri, and Nurhayati, visiting Grand Canyon cave playing instruments for the final scene singing to Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah together with the banjo man Daus and guitar gaucho Mazukri and celebrating the party happily ever after and here the Zip-a-Dee-Lady steamboat is replaced by the stage with a roasted pig party with western saloon theme. As a result the ride is musical adventure themed and also works that the Arizona themed ride is located across Big Thunder ride because Big Thunder's theming is Arizona/Utah's monument valley and the ride name is Aryati's Arizona Journey, Aryati and the Banjo Hero, Aryati's Rio Grande Journey, or simply Aryati the ride and the Briar Patch store is re titled into Aryati's Patch. But Tiana's Bayou Adventure retains in California Disneyland due to being fit for the theming which is next to New Orleans Square.

I know it’s the 11th hour, but there is absolutely no reason to close this ride. It is a vital part of the three ‘Mountain’ attractions which people come to ride repeatedly. They found enough land for the new Tron ride, and had no intention of closing Space Mountain. It looks very exciting, but you’ll be on and off before you can say ‘end program’. Splash Mountain is very lengthy before and during the ride with lots to see. If it were me, you could build on the other side of the railroad track in Frontierland; there’s plenty of space. ………alright K, I’m finished; I got it off my chest. 🧐🤔😏

I know Scott, it still hasn’t completely hit me that Splash is gone for good next week. This was one of my first rides at the Magic Kingdom on my first trip to the park back in the day, and I instantly fell in love with its amazing mix of storytelling, theming, thrill and more. As a young child, I had no idea about the history of the characters or the movie they came from and I’m sure the same can be said for millions of people around the world. I completely understand why Disney made this decision though. As long as they put in the work with the Tiana retheme like they did with Splash, then I’m sure it will be a phenomenal ride in the end
